Really pleasant person to contact, but the website needs a major overhaul. This club is not in the Brotherhood Hall at all, but all the way out in the Gorse Lane Estate.

My granddaughter (8 years old) has been attending the club for a couple of months now. In this short period of time she has started building her confidence whilst learning valuable life skills as well as learning Karate. Sensie is professional and understanding of a members mixed abilities. From the highest trained member to the beginner, each is treated with the same respect and encouragement. This club is very friendly and has a great family feel. My granddaughter jumps out of bed every Friday eager for the school day to pass so she can go to Karate. My daughter and I attend as spectators as our lil lady is nervous to be left anywhere. We are welcomed every week by Sensei and students alike. I am a wheelchair user and have no problems at all entering/leaving the hall. We cannot speak highly enough of Sensei he is interested in all aspects of the children’s lives. My granddaughter is a high achiever with autism, which can often be displayed with sensory overload, causing violent outbursts. Since starting Karate we have found the outburst are diminishing. Sensei Alistair has been a great support in helping our lil lady to channel this energy overload into a more positive focus. I am so very happy to have found a club like this that has become an extension of our family. I highly recommend this club.

EWRK and Sensei Alistair are a fabulous club to be a member of, Sensei has a huge wealth of experience and that shows in his teaching of the students, he has helped me enormously during my time at this club, me as a man in his 60s nearing pension age, he has helped me retain my fitness and keep my body going, he is brilliant with the very young members of the club, in my view if anyone of any age, is. considering taking up martial arts this is the club for you. I gave made many friends at this club and I will continue to train for as long as my body allows me to, my sim is a black belt, and I believe Sensei Alistair is the man to get me to my goal Thank you Sensei for all you have done for me

When my son started he had only very basic hand eye coordination and was low in confidence. With the support of Sensei and the ewrk community he is like a different young man! I cannot thank everyone enough for the support you give him.As an extra bonus he has made some friends too and each grading he has builds his self-esteem up. Brilliant club to be apart of! Cannot recommend enough!

I have trained at this club previously and found it to be an extension of my personal life, it is a great community and welcoming environment. From my experience of training here, I can definitely say that every individual is noticed for their strengths and building on these strengths. Maybe not even necessarily in terms of karate directly, but in confidence, perseverance and sportsmanship. This club is accepting of all ages and abilities and there is no division between "best" and "worse" as it is noticed that everyone will be different, and that individual skill varies. Furthermore, the club offers an exciting range of opportunities, including squad training and competition opportunities - which is great for an exciting experience and individual development. Overall since returning to this club, it has created an amazing turn-around for my physical and mental health, and I look forward to future events at EWRK.

Both I and my eldest son attend this karate club and find it to be open, diverse and friendly from sensei to fellow students. One of my favourite aspects of this club, as an older student, is you can find your own pace. Regarding the child's class, I think my favourite aspect for my son is the socialising and building self confidence.
