If anyone needs a brilliant surf teacher in Cornwall, check out Theo at Evolve Surf School. We had a surf session with him and it was awesome. He is very enthusiastic, fun and a great teacher. We loved this session and definitely recommend doing his lessons. The location of the beach was perfect for beginners who want to try surfing out for the first time. And Theo breaks it down in a very simple way that provides quick results.

We had a great couple of lessons with Evolve. We were a mixed group of ages & abilities but Theo was such a great instructor that he had us all up on our boards and catching some waves . He is such a kind and encouraging teacher , giving very clear safety & technical instructions & even managing to video us in action ! Highly recommended & we’ll certainly be back next year. Loved our first experience of surfing. Theo is an excellent instructor who knows the waves like the back of his hand. Easy to get along with. Excellent wet suits and boards. Felt safe and well cared for. And it was so much fun we did it twice!

My boys had their very first surf lesson with Theo, they abousulty loved it and this was because Theo was a fantastic teacher, he made the lesson really fun and by the end of the two hours lesson both my boys were standing up on the borads and they have never surfed before, they both can't wait to come back again, and we will be back 🙂. Theo started this business this year, and am sure he will be doing it in years to come as he was so good. Thanks again see you next year 🙂

Would highly recommend Evolve surf school ,you wont get a better location to catch some waves. We booked as a family group age ranging from 10 to 45. Theo the instructor was ace with us old ones and just as good with the younger ones. Great advice on sea safety , but most of all under Theos instruction we were all able to catch some waves by the end of the lesson ,even if like me it was just to stand up for a second before falling off!

Theo established Evolve Surf School this year, and he’s done a fantastic job. He has a very professional set up and lots of very happy customers. The location at Gwithian and Hayle beach is just perfect, and there have been some great waves for beginners and more advanced surfers. I hope to see more of this surf school in future years.
