Once you've had one saw that will cut nails, etc then you won't use ordinary tools again. I have a handheld circular saw, a mitre saw and a reciprocating saw (needs a Milwaukee carbide blade to cut through screws as they are very hard). Great tools. I scrapped several garden sheds for a customer and cut them up with a chainsaw where i could be sure to hit no nails or other metal. But where there are nails i used Evolution tools. Had an old door to cut into strips for the wood-burning stove and it cut through the strap hinges underneath without me hardly noticing. Like any tools they do need the correct technique to avoid damaging blades, etc.

Owned several Evolution tools and found them to be a great combination of quality and value. The sliding compound mitre saw is an excellent tool, well designed, and with the multipurpose blade will cut almost anything. Evolution also provide excellent spare parts and technical support with detailed component diagrams available for all models.

Terrible customer service. I should have been getting a parcel today but not anymore as UPS has took it to a different address for delivery. The Evolution website states if you order by 3.30 pm you will get it next working day. HA HA HA HA. When I spoke to customer service about the issue I had with UPS they weren't bothered and basically couldn't care less and said I'd get it tomorrow. Unfortunately that's no good to me so I'll have to get my products elsewhere as they are needed today not when UPS can be bothered to deliver. I would advise others to shop elsewhere for their power tool needs because if anything goes wrong, you don't stand a chance of getting it resolved, because once they have your money they don't give a monkeys about you or your order. If I could give lower than 1 star then I would but they don't deserve 1 star.

Fantastic service and products - i have three different evolution products. One the top end mitre saw and the evo system with a generator and pressure washer. Great supply of spare parts like blades and when the pressure washer part had a problem that i expected to pay for - they covered it under warrranty. They offer a fantastic fixed price repair system which means they are not a business that have out of control repair costs. I will definitely be buying more evolution tools in the future.

My wife bought me an Evolution R185CCS from Toolden. Minutes into using it it seized solid. I had installed the blade using both the (not very good) book instructions together with a couple of videos and as far as I was concerned I had installed the blade correctly. Evolution claimed I had installed it incorrectly, causing the seizure. With the intervention of a lovely woman at Toolden I was able to return the saw and was provided with a replacement. I have since contacted Evolution on more than one occasion, providing a visual and written explanation of how I intend to install the blade (I don't want to risk anything) before I use the saw, but I have received nil response from Evolution. I want to be fair to Evolution but I simply need confirmation that my intended method is correct. In the meantime the saw remains in its box, unused. Sad Christmas present. Not remotely impressed with Evolution but hugely impressed with and grateful to Laura at Toolden. I'll readily return to Toolden for any further purchases but unfortunately those purchases won't carry the Evolution logo.

I got 355 metal chop saw from machine mart about 20 years ago great saw cuts metal with ease it has done a great job over the years. Ordered a replacement on a next day delivery unfortunately it has turned up and they are not good with communication UPS who are delivering for them are a nightmare as they just say the delivery is on its way and the nothing comes get that most days. I have ask evolution for a refund they have said not until we received the good back which I have no control over think that is pretty wrong. Same I really liked the company until now.
