I had a pretty terrible customer service experience with this company. They called the day before my wedding to tell me they were upgrading my tables (I think they had overbooked the tables that I had ordered), which I was fine with, so long as the dimensions were the same. I paid a hefty delivery fee to use this company over a much more local company since we really needed the extra cms on the tables. They arrived broken, and whilst the staff on the day were helpful in trying to resolve and redeliver, we ended up with the wrong (and still faulty) tables on the day, little time to set them up, and no apology / compensation. The line manager I spoke with on the phone afterwards was really dismissive, and told me that I couldn't possibly have noticed the size difference in tables. I would avoid this company if you have any other options, especially for a special event.

Event hire I've used this for the last 2 years no issues This year would have been the 3rd year rang last week to order 2 tables and 11 chairs quoted me £47.50 which is a good price... Then hit me with £200 deposit I had only paid I believe £50 deposit in the past.... So I said no I'd leave it ..but the wife on my case so today I rang again spoke to same person from last week now quoting 78 pound I asked how come price change she replied vat ..vat on £47.50 at 20 per cent makes it £57.. she said I don't know maybe there's vat on deposit ..to which I asked I get this back she no only your £200 not the vat.. Can this be correct feels wrong to me to be totally Honest...so advice to anyone thinking of using event hire think twice.. for me it's a no no avoid if you can.. Shortly after I done this review I had a email from event hire asking to call them I did .they said pricing had been a mistake on their side... .ok no worries I said ..then I had a phone call asking me to take post down I said no I'm explaining my experience with event hire..he's reply ok then went . Not very professional at all I feel ..I certainly wouldn't be recommending event hire to anyone .. Hopefully they improve with how they treat customers..
