Appeared to take my booking online via app, but branch closed on day I was due to pick-up van. Very shabby premises: looks like one of those old-style garages where the owner simply doesnât care about the growing collection of rubbish and old cars that have accumulated on the site. Gives the impression that Europcar is on the brink of insolvency⌠Saved from one star rating only by helpful customer service rep on phone who apologised for situation. Wonât be using this company again.

Do not book with Europcar - you think theyâll provide an honest service as theyâre a large company but are as bad as the smaller firms who try to trick you out of extra money. The âfull tankâ option is effectively a scam. If you only use 1/8th of a tank youâre changed the full amount and this isnât explained during pickup - itâs described as a useful extra. I wonât book through Europcar again as they obviously only care about squeezing money out of their customers - not repeat business.
