    AVOID AT ALL COST I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a van which I needed to take abroad to spain over 2500 miles return journey. This was known to europcar that the van will be taken abroad. Upon arrival Ive noticed visible 3 slits to the side of the front tyre. Branch employee keep insisting that it’s road legal. Next door there is a kwik fit so I asked if we can confirm it with them, kwik fit has confirmed this car is not road legal and that tyre is rubbish. When I told europcar employee that I don’t want to get a puncture or be involved in an accident in a fully loaded van on a motorway on a high speed in a middle of the night in France not speaking the language I was told “if I get a puncture it won’t be because of this tyre damage “ I refused to take this van and after a long verbal battle europcar enfield has found a replacement van in park royal - i needed to pick it up in person and it was already afternoon . Imagine driving in the afternoon before a long weekend from Enfield to Park Royal. I’ve made it before PR branch closed but this has delayed my entire journey. I was late to start packing as a result I missed my ferry at 10pm and the next one I was offered was at 3am the following morning. Good 5 hours wasted there. When I returned to England I sent a complaint to the head office describing the whole incident. Customer service representative Ariel Santos was equally incompetent as his colleagues from enfield branch. He claimed that he conducted “ incident investigation ” but none of it made sense. At one point he mentioned that rental was in Italy… Below is what made me furious the most, europcar claims that “According to your station, the dashboard displayed no danger lights, and all tests were completed with no records or indication of any problems” If this test was really completed this is very concerning as I spotted this damage straight away THE SIDE OF THE FRONY TYRE 3 SLITS. So europcar workers either don’t do their job properly or they don’t care about customers safety. Both options are equally scary. As I’ve mentioned getting a puncture in a london traffic would be annoying but nowhere near as dangerous as getting one abroad at high speed in a loaded van. This could turn into a life threatening situation. As a result I will never even consider europcar enfield branch again. Why do business with someone who doesn’t care about customer safety, there are tens of other companies around. Not to sound all negative if you insist on europcar go to the park royal branch. I had nothing but a positive experience with them and they did a great job fixing enfields branch incompetence.

    AWFUL- AVOID Delivered a car with broken mirror housing that was not on the printed receipt, the person delivering the car told me not to worry about it because he had made a note.. Ofcourse I didn't believe him and asked he hand write the damage on the receipt he gave me which he did and then wrote 3 initials for his signature. I called Europcar ( recorded conversation) informing them of this. Upon collection absolutely no note of this. SCAMMERS- seems your driver smashed the mirror delivering the car to me and he failed to notify you. DISGUSTING trying to blame me for this.

    I’m disabled and I’ve been left with no car because the car they sent as a curtesy car was damaged so they had to take back and I’ve literally been on hold every time I’ve called for the past four days, been passed around to different customer service and lied to. Five days later and 200 hundred pounds down on cab fare and I’m still on hold again. Not a pleasant experience at all
