From my initial conversations with Barry, i knew the service from Estary physo would be exactly what we needed for my father. Barry connected me to Sally who has been a brilliant addition to our family :) Barry has kept in contact, watching dad's progress from afar and Sally has been working closely with dad, with each session getting to know him better so she can tailor the exercises and sessions for him, pushing him when she can and encouraging him to be brave and take steps towards his recovery. Clearly experienced in her field she is always on hand to give advice even when not in session and she genuinely cares about the progress he is making. I would highly recommend Sally and Estuary physio to everyone. A wonderful group who really does put the patient and their family at the heart of everything they do :)

Barry and his team have worked wonders with my my mother-in-law after a fall she had. An excellent program for her rehab was marked out from the start and was perfect for her rehab. I would have hesitation in recommending. Estuary Physio and if needed would definitely call on them again

Estuary Physio is truly fantastic. I've been routinely meeting with Barry Ford for a few months now for breathing therapy and he has been really instrumental in my recovery. I'm finally getting back into the gym and I could never have made it this far without Barry's help. Barry has been really kind and helpful through out the whole process, helping me keep track of different aspects of my recovery and guiding me towards solutions that work the best for my specific case. Five out of five stars - highly recommend!!

If you are/have been diagnosed with PD you really need Estuary Physio to enable you to understand your potential and how to achieve it. My life has been changed both mentally and physically by the very personalised programme devised and delivered by Barry, who is such a professional, dedicated, understanding and motivational person. I was eventually diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in July 2021 after a number of years of declining movement. I was put on medication and monitored by PD nurses. That’s the only treatment offered!!! I developed Sciatic pain in my lower left leg August 2022 and was put on strong pain relief but all that did was ‘space’ me out so I stopped taking them. I realised they were treating the symptom, not the cause. So I took the decision to find a physio and came across Estuary as they understood PD more than anyone else. I spoke to Barry Ford C.E.O. of Estuary and he conveyed his enthusiasm about the new and exciting way physio’s were now able to help with the PD Warrior Programme, building new neurological pathways, which really captured my interest. However, he first suggested I had some musculoskeletal physio to address the sciatic pain and referred me to a colleague. After a few sessions, I was advised that it would return because of the way I was moving. I was hunched, shuffling and unable to walk far. With deteriorating movement, COVID, two replacements hips and a broken foot I had become very sedentary and very unfit. Barry then started addressing the PD. He told me if I worked hard I could get in front of my PD which gave me the first hope I’d had for years. And so my journey of discovery began. My programme with Estuary is specifically designed for me and when I find parts difficult, exercises are broken down into manageable bite size pieces. Exercise became enjoyable from my first session. I was given homework to do and week on week I was able to do more. It began to get quite liberating as my movement progressed and my sciatic pain never returned. I realised to benefit and get in front of this disease meant a life style change and I now do a lot of strengthening and cognitive work which sometimes I can find challenging, but with Barry’s encouragement and support I get there. I cannot say how glad I found Estuary and just how much progress I am making. I’m walking taller, more confidently and even considering ditching my walking stick! I am taking control of my PD rather than letting it control me. I know it will never go away but I am being given the tools to keep ahead of it. What would make a difference is the goal that I know Barry would like to achieve - that of opening a gym for the PD family and others who require help in Essex. I would love to see this happen as I know I will need this regular support to keep ahead of my condition. As I said before, this is a lifestyle change and I hope this review inspires you to take this journey too.

Mr Barry Ford, a chartered physiotherapist of experience and great all-round ability, has been directly and sololy involved with my aftercare and recovery after my major surgery for severe cervical myelopathy and subsequently my revovery following my pontine stroke.I have found him knowledgeable and very able, and above all someone willing to take ownership of a problem. Some of my neurological and respiratory problems were of immense complexity, which he navigated with aplomb and great innovatike skill.I have hesitation and take immense pride in reommending him.

My family reached out to Barry to work with my father, who following 8 months in hospital and rehabilitation, was discharged back home to live independently. My 80-year-old father had fallen of a roof, sustaining life threatening injuries including a brain injury. We specifically needed a neuro-physiotherapist who understood the complexities of brain injury and how such an injury impacts upon rehabilitation. Barry has been exceptional. His approach is holistic, empathetic, patient and ultimately delivers results. My father has not only continued to physically rehabilitate but now has more confidence in his abilities – all key to living independently at home. Barry has regularly kept our family up-to-date with rehabilitation strategies and the progress my father has made. He is a kind practitioner and my father has enjoyed working with him.

The service that Barry has provided for my mother has been excellent. He has been patient, professional and strategic in formulating a plan perfectly suited for her needs and even manages to keep her motivated. He even picked up on my respiratory issues, which I had to then address. I can honestly say he is worth his weight in gold, a complete god send. I would highly recommend him to any one who is looking for a professional, committed Physiotherapist.
