We bought a 7m x 4m wooden log cabin from Dunster House and briefly considered putting it together ourselves (this would have been a huge mistake). A friend recommended hiring a professional installer because it’s not something you want to risk getting wrong and although it may look doable, issues often arise. After searching online we decided to contact Stuart from EssexFlatPack. From the outset Stuart was clear & concise , professional and honest in terms of site preparation, installation timescale and cost. When Stuart arrived it was instantly obvious that he knew the product inside out and despite issues with the weather he cracked on. Having interacted with some “tradespeople” over the years, we had become accustomed to some consistently over promising and under delivering, arriving late then leaving early, never ending tea/cigarette breaks, on phones checking social media and renegotiating part way through the job because it would now “cost a bit more”. There was none of this with Stuart, he worked like a dog, did exactly what was required and finished the project within the promised timescale and even came up with a brilliant solution to a potentially ruinous problem that was caused by a previous tradesperson. We could not have been happier with our decision to hire Stuart and would unreservedly recommend him to anybody who wanted the job done properly. Stuart really helped us out and did a fantastic job assembling our Dunster House log cabin. He’s a true professional who takes pride in his job and makes sure it’s done perfectly. He helped us find some great guys to build a base (after kindly telling us ours wasn’t up to task!) and was very kind to our young son who loved watching him work. Make sure to book Stuart early as he is understandably in hot demand!

I was very shocked at how rude Stuart was on the phone, when trying to make a booking.. after going online to see if anyone else had any issues i understand now from how he deals with criticism why he is so unprofessional. Ego is best left out of business but unfortunately Stuart is a know it all so he was very rude and hung up on me when i questioned why.
