Lovely place overall but why is the guy serving in the coffee shop always so grumpy ? Not sure he should be in a customer facing job. This coffee shop/cafe could be a goldmine if it was run properly.

Lovely place to bring the kids for a walk. Peaceful and not very busy for a Sunday. The kids loved all the secret little places along the way. Shop was a little pricey, however, understandable for giving to the wildlife Trust

I did some structural work in the roof space of The Haven bungalow a couple of years ago, the only surviving one left. Sadly it wasn't open to the public at that time as more work needed doing to make it safe for the public to visit. Every room is just as it was when the owners left it. The whole history of the area is so interesting. Decided to go back last week to see how things had progressed, still not open, such a shame. Great place for a walk. Had lunch in the Cafe which was lovely.

Love this place, their centre has now changed. Its been knock down and rebuilt bigger. Nice coffee in there. Just hope they don't start charging car parking like Thorndon Woods. I'd go to Thorndon Woods but they charge about £3 for 1 hour then you get a ticket.
