I had to vist this station & see for myself what its like. It was clean and the ticket office was open with staff there. To get access to the platforms you have to take the lift down. From there its very quiet and cold & hardly anyone around. This station isn't actually step free as there are 3 sets of stairs to get to the platforms. Its very dark and narrow platforms. & just so quiet kinda of a scary train station. Great northern trains stop here. & no ticket barriers at this station.

Almost entirely pointless station on a lesser-known line. Like Drayton Park only it doesn’t even have a picture of Gunnersaurus. Never busy. Despite having lifts down to the platforms it’s not wheelchair friendly. Distinctive and somehow comforting wet mineral odour. Some people think it’s creepy, I can see that. Quite a handsome two-storey brick structure above ground. One of the great mysteries: what happens upstairs. You can get fancy coffee at Old Street or Highbury and Islington, but here, are you joking? Determinedly retro but never in a fashionable way. Glorious.
