I booked Dave from Essex Pest Proof to deal with some pigeons that had decided to roost on some window ledges at my house. He popped round one afternoon to check out what was needed and the following Monday came out to deal with the problem. Very swift indeed! He arrived on time, and carried out a thoroughly professional job. Dave and his team removed all traces that the pigeons had been there, which was disgusting. Then put up all kinds of wizardry to make sure they didn’t come back. Even took the time to explain how the gadgets worked. He knows his enemy alright!! Can’t recommend Essex Pest Proof highly enough. Terrific service and would gladly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.

Highly recommend Essex Pest Proof Ltd. David Allen was an absolute pleasure, very professional, friendly and efficient throughout. David was able to take care of our pest problem within 24 hours notice, put our minds at ease with answers to our various questions, and we were also impressed with the fact that David asked us several questions to understand our situation better. We were also happy that David used an unmarked van upon request so that it was discreet. In stark contrast, we recently had an experience with well-known Rentokil who were deeply unprofessional, didn't ask any questions like David did, Rentokil turned up after multiple days of delays in a colourful van that screamed pest control, and Rentokil even attempted to fumigate the property while we were still in it which could have killed us! David and his business were far more professional and a joy to deal with, and it was clear that David cared about what he was doing. Great, quick and transparent service. I hired Essex Pest Proof to get rid of a nasty wasp nest in a wall cavity of one of our upstairs bedrooms - Dave and his associate arrived exactly when they said they would, the job was done quickly and professionally with some very good advice given to minimise other pests that there was evidence of. The price was very competitive indeed. I'd very much recommend Essex Pest Proof to anyone with similar issues, if we have another Pest problem then I'll certainly be contacting Dave again! I recently had an issue with rats in my loft space and called Essex Pest Proof. Just before David’s initial visit, I discovered the other home owners in my block of terraced homes also had rats in their loft space. David attended punctually at the time booked, looked in my roof, found evidence of rats and explained the choices available to me, answering all questions professionally and clearly. He then checked the other roof spaces and confirmed we had a shared problem. David set traps and made an appointment for the following week. On his return, he removed 2 dead rats from my roof and one from a neighbour’s roof. He re-primed the traps, added bait trays after discussing this with me first and made another appointment for the following week to include inspecting the outside drains for any sign of rat occupation. On his third visit, David inspected all available drains in the gardens, but no sign of rats was apparent. David attended a total of seven visits to inspect roof spaces and inspect further (previously unavailable) drains. Although he was unable to give a definitive answer as to the source of the problem (this is the second time they have been in the roof spaces in 4 years), he was able to advise one neighbour regarding a – possibly disused – sewage drain that may have been tampered with by a previous neighbour. David was thoroughly professional throughout, he has excellent time keeping and patiently answered all questions asked of him. I have no trouble highly recommending Essex Pest Proof. Recently had an issue with a mouse sighting in our flat. David came round within 24hrs and did an enhanced inspection of the area, and recommended some external repairs to prevent mice from entering. He quoted us only £60 for the work, and returned 48hrs later to complete this. It was done to a high standard, and I’m very happy with his work. Fingers crossed we won’t have any further issues!

David replied to a "request for recommendations" on my local "Next Door". We spoke in the morning and he arrived that afternoon. He dealt with the wasps that had taken up residence under our floor, via an air brick quickly and professionally. He was concerned for the safety of our dog and told us to stay indoors for a few hours while the chemical did is thing. No more wasps. Very happy, highly recommended. Would use again.
