Barriers , cones, signs etc left outside my house for weeks. Someone from Highways came to take them away - but they told me they didn’t belong to them, despite an EH sign. He said he will tell his Forman - nothing. I sent a personal letter to Peter Massie, head man at Chelmsford. No reply. Website is impossible to use . Totally useless.

Essex highways Re: Barbrook Lane Tiptree. 1, No warning signs regarding works traffic . 2, No temporary speed signs for works traffic, should be 15/20 MPH even more so with 3 school entrances. 3, Cars double parked today 13/7/2022 , lorries struggling to pass so the same would apply to emergency vehicles. 4, Works traffic still passing through at school drop off times. 5, Works traffic banking up at the top of Barbrook Lane with engines running because they have nowhere else to wait. 6, Damaged footpaths due to work’s vehicles having to mount the pavements to be able to pass, these most likely won’t be repaired until work is completed maybe in 3 years time. You guys passed this road as suitable for the development to go ahead yet you have done sweet FA to make them safe for other road users , pedestrians or residents. Absolutely no warning signs whatsoever to make people aware. In this crazy world of Health and Safety you guys sure know how not to do it. Nearly 18months in and STILL no one listens.

Essex Highways are doing nothing about putting the drain in the wrong place which causes this water to go into my home foundations also cars drive past and splash me as I walk out my house. Its been 6 years now. Absolutely rubbish.

Friendly, professional people, working hard with limited resources and under constant criticism from an often ignorant public to keep people travelling on Essex roads safe.

A useless website which is so hard to navigate. I think they work on the premise that if you can't report a problem they don't have to deal with it. Even when you report a problem it is not a "priority" like a drain that has had plants growing out of it for five plus years. The phone system is designed to give you a migraine.
