We rented a one-bed at the Union Wharf development for 2 years (2019–2021). Our renting experience with Essential Living has overall been a smooth one, with friendly staff throughout the journey and an amazing on-site concierge/residents team. However, there was one big exception, a power surge incident in Sep 2020 that was a bumpy experience for a few months, affecting us and many units, see images. The apartment is very functional with modern creature comforts like nice fittings and appliances, tasteful furnishing. They are adding some smart meters soon. There is a sense of community among residents thanks to a Facebook group set up by Essential Living. They have also organised some virtual events, like cook along sessions with ingredients supplied, and some fun contests like Easter egg counting.

Although I couldn't move into Berkshire House because of a last minute change of work plans. Essential Living cancelled my contract and were extremely helpful given the last minute change. A lovely lady who works for essential living (Sophie Barker) took me through the whole process and helped me cancel my contract at the end sadly, with 0 problems. Super quick responses and extremely helpful and proactive team! Would definatley recommend to friends and will definitely be wanting to stay there if I work in Surrey again!

Couldn't tell the difference between a carousel and this company. To request a simple viewing even after filling out the form online, I was passed on to 4 different people and in the end just told to call back when a specific person was in the office and when I did call back that person I was told to speak to would tell me to call back another day when another specific person is in. Around 4 weeks later of nonsense there's no more viewings available all of a sudden. I then asked a friend with a more "suitable" name to fill out the form with the same requirements as me and the next day when me and him went out he got a call saying they can book him in for a viewing they just need his availability. I called immediately after he finished his conversation with them and was met with the same "Oh this person is in charge of viewings so you'll need to talk to her" by the same person who just gave him options for viewing the same place I was looking at!
