Not bad. But Helen is a total stress-head and gives erratic service. One moment she's nice as pie, making quips and being all smiley. Next thing, she's speaking to you through gritted teeth trying to contain her rage. It's so weird. She's a nice enough person – just completely consumed by the frustrations of her company and annoying customers. Job itself was under par. I would probably have complained about poor workmanship but, honestly, I couldn't be bothered dealing with that woman anymore.

We bought 3 new carpets last month and the company were a pleasure to deal with - good advice about choice of carpets and underlay and found a good value end-of-roll for the small study. Fitters did a good job. If you are planning to give your old carpets away (as we were) be aware that the fitters cut them into strips when removing them to avoid scuffing the walls. If you want to keep them whole you need to remove them yourself before they come - this is probably the same with all carpet firms.

Good quality carpets and flooring, but terrible service, poor organising skills, fitter had to keep leaving the job to try and finish other jobs and was always late, again due to being sent out to other unfinished jobs! Definitely wouldn't recommend!

Having just bought my first house, I hoped they could help me choosing carpets and flooring as I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking for or how their shop does things, but from the moment I walked in I felt like I was annoying the owner by explaining this; he spoke to me in a rude and sarcastic way. Not the sort of place where asking questions is welcomed!

Had Bathroom Kitchen and Hallway done in Amitico. From Nigel/ Paul measuring up and Helen's help in the store and on the telephone I cannot praise them enough so helpful polite and professional. The fitter Matt was excellent a pleasure to have in our home and did a superb job. Would have no hesitation in recommending Eric Gilbert Carpets.
