Through thick and thin. Era care supported my mother in her home for two years until she eventually had to be admitted to a residential care home last Autumn. During that period, my mother's condition fluctuated enormously and involved at least eight hospital admissions. In the last nine months of their care Mum had been diagnosed with terminal rectal cancer and vascular dementia. I had to rely enormously on Eracare throughout this time because I live several hundred miles away and my mother had no other family support locally. My mother became very fond of many of the carers - they managed to establish genuine relationships with her - in part because of the continuity of care provided. From my viewpoint, I massively appreciated their flexibility and willingness to go 'the extra mile'. This was particularly important during hospital admissions and discharges, when they liaised with hospital staff, the general practice and pharmacy on my behalf whenever necessary.
