Ten years and probate shares still outstanding My father passed away in 2013 and Equiniti were notified by the probate solicitors. 10 years later we discover he had shares in another company also managed by Equiniti and it has been 18 months of unanswered emails, phone calls, promises of letters that never arrive and now the ombudsman is investigating them for their serious administrative errors. And the issue is still not resolved. A very traumatic experience.

I would give no stars if possible. It has taken months to receive Indemnity Forms to try and obtain share certificates that were never received and which they have no proof that they sent them. Equiniti then tries to extract unreasonable fees for certificates that were never received using Indemnity Forms that have to be resent because the first ones are either wrong or not received? The only post that seems to fail to be delivered is that which Equiniti says has been sent, there is no problem with my post from elsewhere? When phoning you get a different person each time, and when you do get a person's email and think your Equiniti problems have been solved, they don't reply to clarify specific questions.

Worst company to deal with, no communication at all, takes a very long time to process any requests. I will advise to avoid this company.

Criminal Pricing Strategy I've just called Equiniti to close an account for someone who is deceased. For circa £200 in share holdings, they propose admin fees of £85 to close the account! Disgusting. No other share dealing service or investment provider we've dealt with charges fees like this.

Updated; they made contact with me and the issue was sorted. Now seem to have contact details in an easy to find area on their webpage. Impossible to contact these people by phone! My shares have been moved across I have no clue about shares, this lot have been foisted upon me! As a result I’m losing divi and extremely angry!

I had an experience this morning that totally turned around my view of this company (I had not had very good experiences with them in the recent past). A very nice, helpful man called Roger dealt with me this morning. He said I was his first 'phone call of the day. He dealt with the two companies in which I wanted to buy shares incredibly helpfully and efficiently. To avoid a long silence on the line he managed to chat to me about exercise regimes while he was inputting data. He seemed to have a very positive, sensible, healthy outlook on life. That's a nice uplifting note to start a day on. Very impressed :)

Just wasted a ridiculous amount of time trying to reach someone about some shares. Such a simple question but lost the will to live after listening to irritating and endless messages on their answer phone. Kept pressing 1 to get through to my chosen dept and just kept getting messages saying no button had been pressed. They certainly pressed my buttons! Have given up. It’ll be someone else’s problem when I die, which is substantially sooner than before I started trying to contact equiniti!

These people need to take a long hard look at themselves. When someone from the dedicated bereavement team can be as rude and unhelpful as they were today, you know there is serious issue with customer service.

Near impossible to get a hold of, no one replies to email. Plus letter regarding important details I requested to send weeks ago have still not arrived. Very poor service overall, had me on the phone for around 3 mins to automated response, only for the response to say due to the number of calls they can't take my call. Which is ridiculous. Wish other investment account was set up prior to shares getting deposited to their CSN.
