    I really hate that it has come to me writing a review but I have never experienced such bad service from a company. I needed a vehicle as my car was in repair due to an accident. Enterprise gave me a Hyundai Ionic. I said I wasn’t happy as it isn’t the same standard as my car (which the insurance company said they would match). However I appreciate that this could have been the insurance companies error. Enterprise then said that if I want to upgrade they will give me a Qashqai but I will have to pay £20 a day so naturally I took the Hyundai Ionic. The ionic ended up having a puncture, I couldn’t get through to them so I ended up driving the car back to the enterprise office. My car’s repair was not ready so I needed an extension from enterprise and of course another car from them. This time they ended up giving me a brand new Jeep with no additional cost (so why would they charge me extra for the Qashqai?). Eventually when I was ready for them to pick up the Jeep and the pick up was arranged they didn’t pick up their own car. Till now it is still in the car park at work.

    This is definitely, by far, the worst Enterprise branch I've dealt with. They couldn't get me the car I requested, and forced me to pay an upgrade fee and wouldn't stop bugging me about various fees. I understand that they are trying to make more profits, but that usually ends after the customer declines once. The return was overly complicated too. I have never seen someone staring at a car so deeply, spending minutes on each tire, for a return. I suspect this branch regularly deals with cruise tourists and thinks that they can scam people into paying for what would have been a free upgrade.

    I use this branch very often for personal and work purposes and I’ve had an overall good experience with the service. Being a regular there have been issues with some of my rentals but in my experience they are always keen to rectify the issues and compensate for inconveniences caused. Sometimes it takes a bit of back and forth but we always get there in the end. Worth mentioning Yinka who helped me sort out one particularly complicated booking and ensured it all went well; and Ramos who gives me tips on how to check out the cars to ensure I identify and communicate any faults beforehand. This branch is very busy and there is often not enough time between customers to turn around a car properly but I’ve never received a car that was so dirty I couldn’t use it. It may not be freshly washed but it’ll be presentable. There is also a shortage of automatic cars and often they have to make some kind of change to the order which may be an upgrade or downgrade, again depending on what they have available at that time. The company needs to increase its fleet to address this issue but the staff on ground try to do the best with the cars they have available.

    Very unprofessional people. I had a prepaid reservation for a van but when I went to pick the van up, they didn't have any available. Absolutely unhelpful manager from Southampton Dock's branch. She was unable to give any solution apart from saying I am sorry and apologies. This is not the first time that they let me down, but it will be the last. Don't use their services.

    Poor Show! When my car required recovery, the manufacture have an arrangement with Enterprise so the customer is not off the road for too long. My car was recoverd away at 9.30 am, Enterprise were made aware a car was required at 2pm. I chased at 4pm and 4.30 pm and again just before 5pm. A car finally arrived via the out of hours service at 7.15pm. When questioned it seems the Southampton office had issues and did not see the need to keep the customer updated and all went home at 5pm! Glad you all managed to get home on time! I understand companies have issues either lack of staff or computer issues, It would not have gone a miss to have been in contact via another branch or via the people who actually pay you for the contract. Just because a large company picks up the invoice for the hire please remember is the ordinary man or woman or non binary in the street who it affects! Not impressed as this is the second time Southampton branch have done this to me ( July 22 being the first)

    I booked an automatic vehicle months ahead of a cruise home. Purposely booked an automatic having not driven in England or a manual in 15 years. My family arrived at the same time as many others disembarking from the cruise. It seems that this branch had done the same to multiple people in that they had taken their reservation and tried to give them a lesser vehicle for the same price. A person ahead of me complained and finally received an upgraded automatic. I complained and was told that their was nothing they could do, but take £200 off the price. I informed them that I could have booked this particular car for cheaper and that this was basic bait and switch. I was immediately given a £500 discount, which I would receive upon return. Of course, nothing is that easy. I was given attitude when I returned the car by another lady, and I had to go through the whole ordeal again. After I informed them that I wasn’t going anyway without my refund or filing a police report, I was given my refund. Never again!
