I recently had a hire car due to a car break down over the 15th - 18th April. My breakdown policy allowed for a hire car for a few days. The service I received from the two 'Toms' was exceptional. They were friendly, helpful, engaging and kind. The car I was given was far more superior than my current one and I was nervous about driving it but was totally reassured and given lots of help in navigating my way round it. The whole experience was great and I wouldn't hesitate in using the Chatham branch again. Thank you to the two 'Toms'

Dreadful experience. The van we asked for was not there and we were offered a smaller one which was unsuitable. We waited for ever to be served by a sullen young woman who really had no interest in our problem. We couldn't find another vehicle on the day so had to abandon our plans. We found an alternative from a competitor the next day. Whilst we waited on the day I tried to call other branches of Enterprise in the area to see if they had anything available. In every case they took a very long time to answer the phone and their branch at Gravesend never answered.

We had the most awful experience here. We booked an extended long wheelbase van. Upon arrival we could see straight away that the van they had reserved for us was the wrong one being too small. One member of staff on duty didn't even acknowledge our presence and seemed to take an age to do anything. She then went on to serve another customer who arrived after us. In the mean time we tried to call other Enterprise branches in the area to see if they had a van that was the size we needed. The branches at London road Rainham and Sittingbourne took in excess of 15 minutes to answer the phone and we never got an answer from the branch at Gravesend suggesting they are all woefully understaffed. When the young girl at Chatham finally got round to us, she was not particularly interested that the company had messed up our booking, she didn't offer to call other branches and also refused to offer any kind of discount. We were unable to hire another van at short notice and had to cancel our plans. Enterprise is a large company that seems to be operating with virtually no staff and is frankly shambolic. We managed to get a van for the next day from a rival company. Enterprise responded and asked me to contact them. To me it's all too late now, they had their opportunity to resolve our problem and chose not to. They clearly thought it would be better for the van ( really too small ) they did have to just sit there all weekend earning nothing rather than offer a discount. I would also like to add that the staff member on duty just laid the blame on her colleague who was not there to defend herself rather than try to resolve our problem. At no stage did she offer to call other branches to try and secure the correct vehicle. We did that ourselves as explained above.
