So I book a van over the phone, told there is one available, go through reservation etc, all done..I turn up to collect it and told there are no vans available, what a complete waste of time.

Arrived for an early booking, was checked in by a really friendly colleague, who explained everything clearly. Had to wait a little while for the vehicle to be ready which was frustrating, however the colleague made me feel really valued as a customer and recognised I had to wait, and gave me a gesture of goodwill, which I appreciated. The car was just what I needed, presented well- clean and tidy. When I dropped the car off, I was equally well looked after. Overall I had a positive impression, and would use Enterprise again.

Today when I went to pick up the vehicle I was told there is no vehicle available or similar to that vehicle. I was offered volvo XC40 (downgraded from XC90) as I have been using enterprises to rent a car for the past 15 years with the excellent service assuming that all enterprises are of similar calibre and provide excellent customer services. Today it came to my knowledge that all enterprises are franchises with a different standard of service. Today's service was appalling and made us wait for 2 hours and not accommodating in any way. We came to UK for two weeks holidays and time is critical and the car that we booked we need that immediately. I can understand that requested car or similar may not be available but enterpirses in the past always either matched or upgraded the car.
