A well established bus company based at Purfleet in the county of Essex providing regular service buses serving the Essex area parts of Kent and many more counties supplying rail replacement buses for national rail, trams services and the London underground tube services,they have a wonderful heritage bus collection all of which are working buses,vintage routemasters,RT buses are just a few,these working buses are used for private hire ie weddings, etc and for film work East Enders and many more productions recently bought bought by First bus Essex recently it's buisness as usual the term if ain't broke don't fix it 50 years of Newmans family ownership a wonderful bus company to work for immaculate buses

After First Essex recent acquisition of Ensignbus, it's nice to see that all of the values of this business haven't changed. When I first arrived here I was taken back by the size of this site which houses hundreds of buses which serve most of Essex and surrounding areas. The layout was very well maintained and sign posted for health and safety. A great team of staff to escort me to were I needed to get to and although there is alot of large vehicle movement, I never once felt at risk. Everyone was very well trained and knew exactly where each bus was parked. Including an amazing heritage collection of iconic buses from early 20th century. Very impressive operation, slick and efficient service.

Nightmare company and extremely unreliable, the driver was incredibly rude and was almost 30 minutes late. I waited at the bus stop at 7:30 to catch the 7:36 bus and it arrived at 7:50 blaming it on jump starts at the garage. Worst start to my Monday. Won’t be catching this bus again!
