I would like to share my whitening experience with Enlighten smiles. I applied the treatment a while back and I have to admit that was and continue to be a complete success. As any whitening treatment would, I got a bit of sensitivity on my teeth while applying the treatment but I couldn’t have loved it more. The results were above the expected and I have been flattered by people about my white teeth in many occasions. I would definitely recommend the service from start to finish.

I’ve never had tooth whitening before and would not have considered it but as I was having another procedure done, Enlighten tooth whitening was recommended by one of the dentists at my practice who felt it would be beneficial. I was recommended the home treatment with in-chair top up. The cost was £549. The process is to use the whitening at home overnight 8 hours with bespoke tooth trays for 14 consecutive days and then immediately attend the in-chair top up. After three days of use (for only 4 hours each time as advised by my dentist as I grind my teeth at night) I was unable to tolerate the pain and discomfort this product caused me. I was told some sensitivity can occur, however what I experienced was quite severe. The desensitizing sticks were useless. Having paid £549 for a product I couldn’t use, I felt quite devastated. The dentist gave tips on only using Enlighten gell every other day for only an hour each time and using a tooth serum in between on the days off but sadly I still couldn’t tolerate the discomfort, especially the following days at work were just unbearable as were some sleepless nights. In relation to the whitening results, they were very short lived. In a matter of days my teeth were back to their usual colour after the last treatment. If done properly I’m sure this product would do what it says it can as it’s incredibly strong stuff but now reading these reviews, it clearly doesn't work for everyone. There was the possibility of paying less £349 for the at home only Enlighten kit which contains two syringes of 16% strength whitening, however, I was told by my dentist the results were not guaranteed without the in-chair top up. The £549 product is also two syringes but one is 10% and one is 16%. I only used half of the 10% and was unable to tolerate that strength! Personally, I feel the company Enlighten should offer a three day tester kit to determine if a person can tolerate it before customers pay out large sums of money to their dentists. Following my experience, my dentist got in touch to say they are considering moving to a different brand of whitening product. Most likely they've had ongoing negative feedback with regards to Enlighten. Both my sister (who purchased the £349 Enlighten at home only kit) and myself experienced pain and discomfort using Enlighten. My sister also suffered inflamed gums. Based on my experience alone I really couldn’t recommend Enlighten to anyone. A very expensive mistake!

Disappointed would be an understatement. 9 days into my 2 week treatment and my teeth haven’t changed a single shade from the starting point. Even more disappointing is the fact that you get custom trays made, you follow the correct process and apply a lentil sized spot to each tooth and somehow still end up with burnt white gums. If the trays were that good, why has this happened? I’ve been following the instructions precisely.

I had some whitening done about 3 years ago and was happy with the results. I use to buy top up seringes and they were £32. Then price changed to £50 and now it's £75 ! All that in less rhan 3 years. My dentist assured me that was enlighten who increased their prices but at that level this is not inflation but total rip off! I won't be buying anymore. The person I talked on the phone seemed completely unconcerned and just said she would pass on the feedback but cannot discuss prices with me. Very disappointing.

I had this enlighten treatment not impressed at all and the sensitivity was unbearable, which the dentists said I wouldnt feel any, my teeth are practically the same colour what a waste of money, do not recommend this product at all, I paid 500 pound, which needs to be refunded thanks
