I thoroughly enjoyed the half-day tour of significant places in Beatrix Potter's life. Seeing the real-life scenes that she incorporated into her book illustrations was delightful, and I learned a lot about her that I hadn't known. I definitely left with a deeper appreciation for what she did to preserve the natural beauty of the Lake District so we can enjoy it today! Tim was an excellent guide who shared entertaining stories about the history of various houses that we passed along the way.

Excellence is never expected, but Tim delivered excellence during our tour. We've done many guided tours during our Europe vacations, and Tim equaled some of our best experiences. As a geologist, I sometimes cringe at geology-oriented explanations by tour guides, but Tim's geology-related comments were spot on. We also thought he went above and beyond at points of interest with insights and anecdotes about the locations. Kudos to Tim!

Had a lovely experience with this group, they provided an in depth guide to the history and current life of the Lake District. They were completely open to any questions or conversation with us and made sure everyone was comfortable and well looked after. Would recommend this tour to anyone - I went alone and still had so much fun- you are given plenty of opportunities for breaks and time to do your own thing which I was not expecting. Will definitely do a tour like this with these lovely people again !!
