What an amazing hotel and spa! The staff are all so friendly and clearly enjoy working here. Right from the initial phone call Jenny was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The spa is so clean and beautiful and they allow just the right amount of people in so that it isn’t crowded. The hotel is just as beautiful and the food is so delicious …. Well worth every penny!

What a beautiful find and a hidden gem - that’s maybe not so hidden as it was obviously quite popular! In the unassuming village of Barnby Moor is Ye Olde Bell Inn and behind that this superior bijou spa. We arrived early on a Friday Jin for a 10.30-14.30 experience and received a warm welcome, there are ‘spa butlers’ on hand everywhere to explain. We hadn’t booked a treatment (note to self - book for next time) and we’re a bit sad as they were all booked up, so particularly appreciated when our butler (slim tanned, long pony tail) sought us out with the offer of two half hour treatments that had just become available. Facial from Alice was sublime. Just the right amount of pressure and produced used to really awaken my skin. Sister enjoyed a back massage. The spa experiences included a warm Himalayan salt Sshhh room for deep relaxation. A stunningly dramatic brazier of hot coals for a volcanic sauna experience. The 90• Alpine room, followed by a snowfall ‘drop’. Loved the showers and the ice bucket which then lead on to the steam room. Then there was the pool with all the jets and jacuzzi elements. Loved, loved loved them. Outside are heated tiled ergonomic loungers, small pods to grab a blanket and sleep and larger day beds with heaters and blankets. Included is your day robe (grey coloured, makes a change from white) reusable and washable flip flops instead of the towelling mules I’ve used before - a lot of attention to detail and it showed. All staff without exception were amazing.
