I think I got food poisoning lol. There are better jamaican food places in handsworth. Shame how they advertise caribbean foods but there is zero passion in the quality. It's unfortunate that they promote Caribbean cuisine, yet the quality lacks any genuine enthusiasm. This is a disservice to the exceptional food and culture that Caribbean dishes offer. It seems like the meal was prepared by someone with no knowledge of the cuisine. The primary appeal is its halal status, so positive reviews likely come from individuals who haven't experienced authentic Jamaican food prepared by Jamaicans.

First off the food The munch box offer is what made me want to try the food. This review is based on 3 separate visits as I really wanted this place to improve as its quiet local The food is very bland The curry goat although cooked well had no seasoning The fried chicken again was just a thick coating with no flavour. And same for the jerk chicken The seasoned fries are pretty good and the mac and cheese is also pretty decent Other then that the food is very below average The customer service however is very very poor The guy on the counter seems all over the place and talks to you on the phone as if he is angry that you called I asked him about the munch box and the options he said replied what about it twice . He then asked me if I had a menu on me Why would I ask Also always check your food before you leave on two occasions I have been given the wrong food I wont be coming back I pray you guys improve because you have a good concept but you need a better chef and better front of staff

Decided to try this place despite the reviews I heard from word of mouth and social media. Arrived staff were lovely at the till , had to use my phone to view the menu on Google as they had no menu Inside. Ordered 2 meals. 2mains 3sides and another which was mine 1main 2sides. Curried mutton - had no flavour looked like mutton didn’t taste like curried mutton. Very disappointed as it’s a mostly ‘Caribbean’ menu. Jerk wings were good had a lot of flavour. Boneless Fried chicken - disappointed had no flavour just the crunch. Rice & peas - okay. Festivals - didn’t taste like festival tasted doughy couldn’t eat it. Do not recommend sadly looks nice visually but such a let down. Traveled 40 mins to get there. Yes the Portion sizes are good but the Taste is horrible = Waste of money. Stick to your usual Jamaican takeaway. I ate 3 mouthfuls and threw the rest.

Good service. Clean venue. Rice and peas not a taste. Mutton cooked really well nice and soft but such a shame it had no taste. I mean none. It taste fresher than rose water. Not even a spoon of salt touched that Mutton never mind anything else. Jerk chicken was banging. Can't lie the chicken and jerk sauce was Propper nice. Presentation was good in the box but as you can see from the picture, the Mutton needs alot of work.

Attempted to go here to either dine in or get a takeaway. However upon arrival and soon as my wife and I saw that the seating was abysmal and the place is meant to be two establishments in one I.e food and desserts, we ended up driving back down the whole of Cov Rd in an attempt to find something else as we were starving. Parking isn't the best but depending on the time of day you probably will be able to find free parking fairly easily. The main thing that put us off was that it's meant to serve Caribbean cuisine but l couldn't see anyone fitting that demographic. It's like going to an Indian restaurant and seeing ONLY Oriental people in there. Even if the owner is of full or partial Caribbean descent there should be at least SOME people of Afro Caribbean descent as it instills some confidence that the food will be authentic and prepared correctly.
