E mailed them in desperation as my mother's (age 95) Spanish pension had stopped. The UK postal strikes had ensured the legal documents providing proof of life had arrived too late to Madrid. The UK state pension is a fraction of the Spanish state pension. Within 24 hours the embassy contacted me to tell me they had called Madrid, and in short, her pension was re-instated. Really can't praise the fabulous service enough.

I have been trying to get an appointment for 5 months now and they have nothing available. My mum will now not beable to come on holiday with the family as she cannot get her visa and when I call the embassy they just tell me to postpone my flight unt the visa os sort. 5 mo th and they are still saying this like its thats simple. Just lost £400 in flights.. Worst embassy ever!
