If you need anything from them just pray, I was pregnant when I first started to contact them. I informed many times and I have not been treated with priority. Multiple times emails and phone calls endless waiting, rude and unhelpful staff. They make it absolutely impossible to put a time on the calendar, however they only answer is: you need to book a time on the calendar. My baby has been born and now we're fighting to get his registration and my renovation and still nothing. If you need anything from them get tickets to Portugal. SHAME

Since many years ago, ALL Portuguese Consulates/Embassies in the World provide very poor service. And I’m using a polite wording: “poor”. Increasingly more Portuguese nationals living in overseas choose the nationality of the country they immigrated to. The main cause for this shameful situation has to do with Lisbon lack of funds attributed to Foreign Affairs Ministerial Department. Yet, authorities do work to guarantee they will be paid huge sums of €€€€€ for their own pension funds.
