Submitted ok but when I went to collect the passport number on the visa didn’t match my passport, they had put a ‘Z’ instead of a ‘7’. When I queried it the man behind the window said that “it looks almost the same so will be ok”..!? I said it’s not the same and he said “ok I’ll have to cross it out and write a 7”!!! I’m mean seriously, is that the way it works in Mongolia, you just cross out a number and write in whatever you fancy?? Anyway I told him that wasn’t acceptable and that I’m not travelling all that way just to get turned away which he accepted and proceeded to issue me with another, this time correct, visa. So be careful people, check the visa before you leave the room!
