This was the first time I had been to this clinic and everyone was helpful and friendly, our objective was a blood test and we were in and out in five minutes, no problems.👍😷 So here's the long part of the story...part one..first off car parking...the small service road and what was the car park for the old library have signs up stating parking for permit holders only..there's is a fine to pay if caught, but for 90p for 1 hour you can park in the large car park situated at the rear of the building, which I think is known as the civic offices car park. Last point about parking, you would have thought for this medical centre there would have been at least disabled parking outside the building in the service road or for clinic only patients. Believe it or not there are people that struggle to walk even short distances, the elderly, the disabled, the pregnant etc etc... Part two..out doctors surgery, the grove sent a text message, "your doctor requests you have a routine blood test..". Surprise, surprise there were no appointments available (are there ever), so we were asked if we wanted to go to the Elstree way clinic, of course we said yes, after all it is local, in previous times we've been sent to Watford hospital and Barnet hospital for these routine blood tests, where upon queues are expected. So has something changed, are doctors surgeries being told to use local amenities rather than thrust even more patients through the doors of hospitals. I don't know anything about the political wranglings between NHS providers but its about time they worked together instead of trying to trip up the goverment with these union shenanigans.
