A great school in a beautiful setting with an all-round education. The Headmaster and staff are really passionate about their teaching and they like to find your child's talent and maximise it, whether it is drama, music sport or maths. The facilities are very good with plenty of outdoor space for the children to roam around in and the choice of extra-curricular activities is endless. The children leave the school well-rounded and happy.

I worked in the kitchen with friendly , but professional people, at the same time, with a lot of care for children's health.I was a pleasure.

Our son has emerged from Elstree a confident, happy and well- balanced boy. Sid and Olivia Inglis genuinely care about the boys and work flat-out during the term to ensure that the place runs smoothy and happily. The school environment is nurturing and the grounds and outdoor spaces perfectly suited to energetic boys. Special mentions to Mrs Lavoipierre, Mr F Williams and Mr Owens who are outstanding teachers and again, genuinely care for the boys. Things that could do with improving upon include DT teaching and sports coaching. As with any prep school, there are always issues that parents get worked up about but on balance it is a great learning environment. Sid was incredibly helpful and influential when it came to our son's senior school. Our son has ended up in an excellent senior school where is he thriving. I believe Elstree was a step for him in that process and without it he wouldn't be there. A good foundation!

If your son is a self driven Eton scholar this is the place, other destination schools don't register on heads radar, wrong curriculum for Winchester, abingdon etc, additional private tuition needed for maths and french (all boys ) in year 8, 2017. Headmaster didnt even know ! Same again 2018. all except one eton entrant FAILED maths exam Sid Inglis over reached with music school project, failed to raise money, then discovered needed 3 times as much, so had to sell some land - ooops Bottom line... no value add - avoid
