Khalda Hasan is by far the best hygienist I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and who cleaned my teeth to perfection today (29.04.23). She explained everything properly and was happy to explain further when I wasn’t sure. I was nervous about my sensitive teeth, but she had a solution for that and took care not to cause me pain. It’s always a mission to muster the strength to go to the dentist, since it’s not a pleasurable experience, but one we need to keep our teeth healthy. But it makes the experience easier when consummate professionals like Khalda are on hand to take care of our teeth. Thanks Khalda. You’re an artist on teeth!

What a wonderfully friendly, experienced and gentle team of people, from admin through to clinical staff. They have taken exceptional care of me (a nervous patient) and my very vulnerable elderly mother. Whatever your dental needs, you can be sure that you will receive compassionate and caring expertise from everyone in the team. The Reception Team are exceptional. They smile and take time to chat to you when you arrive, showing an interest in you and making you feel comfortable. In an emergency they are calm and kind. They have the knowledge to help you to explain what is wrong and they are able to give you sensible advice before seeking further guidance from one of the wonderful dentists. Recently I had a problem with my bite and I went for a consultation with one of the dentists, Su Redapple. I was unsure of what to do. Su listened carefully to the problems I was having, she evaluated my teeth, gums and bone carefully and then explained the different options available. As a result, I decided, at the age of 56, to have a brace! Something I had never considered before. After 7 months of regular visits, I now have an amazing smile and the problems that I had with my bite are gone. Su worked her magic on my teeth with kindness, good humour and an enormous amount of knowledge and expertise and I am so grateful to her. I'm a longstanding customer, and the dental care - routine like check-ups and hygiene, and specialist like implants - is good. But the customer experience could be better, and gives the impression of either being disorganised or else disinterested. On my latest visit (4 Jan 2023) to have impressions taken for an implant, a denture I am wearing as a temporary measure was repaired free of charge (thank you), and while I was with the consultant I was twice told it would be ready in another 5-10 minutes. However, I then waited another 75 minutes in reception, and had to ask for progress reports. If I had been told that I might need to wait up to two hours, I could have gone off and done something else with my time. Also, before leaving reception, I was given an appointment for two weeks later to have the implant fitted, but on checking today I have been told that the appointment doesn't exist! Come on, get your act together!

I was referred to Elmfield House practice by my regular dentist a few years ago as I needed a denture. I cannot speak highly enough about the skill of Dr. M. Patel. My original teeth were higgledy-piggledy and therefore a massive challenge to any specialist in prosthodontics - so many aspects to get precisely right: bite function, comfort when eating and a realistically pleasant look for someone whose own teeth were far from perfect. Full marks for all of the above! Thank you. PS. They have a particularly friendly and helpful reception desk too :-)
