Playground: Plenty to play on, outdoor gym apparatus. Dog-friendliness: Poop boxes dotted around. Dogs must be on lead whilst around the lake. Picnic area: Picnic benches dotted around but plenty of space for picnic blankets and pop up shelters

Staying with friends in Solihull I was looking for a place for a walk and was introduced to Elmdon Park. This place is huge with loads of paths and trails. There’s a play area for the kids, a large pond or 2, football area and when you climb the hill there’s good views over the area. You could easily make up a 5 km walk. This park leads on to other open areas for an even bigger walk. Dog and kid friendly.
