I don’t know why this little piece of history wouldn’t get 5 stars, it’s beautiful. It’s a little rugged, well it is in the forest, and has muddy tracks, it’s in the forest, in England! 😂 There is some history you can research for this area, a manor, school houses etc which have all but disappeared with only the remnants of a walled garden and orchard remaining. A step back in time indeed. The photos show the trails, map, and gardens. This area is accessible via a road but also by walking through Elmdon Park. Enjoy your walk, wear boots or wellies.

Very relaxing peaceful location with a lake at the front and acres of walking space across the wood site. Very mature woodland makes this a great place in summer and an absolutely enchanting place in autumn especially with wonderful autumnal foliage colours. Wonderful oasis of calm a short distance from main road, real gem of a location to visit. The orchard is nice with a small fenced pond, however not maintained properly and largely wild. The walled enclosure is starting to crumble. Well worth a visit
