I recently purchased a pair of Moab Speed GORE-TEX shoes from Ellis Brigham. The shoes were advertised as being waterproof so I was excited to use them for hiking and other outdoor activities. However, after only 11 months of use, the shoes started to let in water. I contacted Ellis Brigham customer service to request a repair or replacement, but they refused, stating that Merrell said both shoes were letting in water, but that was due to "natural wear and tear." Ever thought they were well under a year old? so there is nothing they are willing to do about it. I don't think very many customers assume that is it acceptable that GORE-TEX waterproofing lasts for less than a year. They refused to take responsibility for their product. I would not recommend Ellis Brigham or Merrill to anyone, and I will never do business with them again. I am writing this review to warn other consumers about Ellis Brigham's and Merrill's poor customer service. If you are considering purchasing a product from them, I urge you to reconsider. You are better off spending your money with a company that will stand behind its products and its customers. They argued that I had in some way worn the shoes incorrectly which is also untrue. As you can see from the picture, the shoes are in perfectly good condition on the outside. They have not been in any way mistreated or damaged. I am also disgusted by the idea that Ellis Brigham could not care less that the shoes have lasted such a short time. They are more concerned with making a profit and getting me off the phone than they are with providing quality products and customer service. GORE-TEX should be ashamed of allowing their waterproofing into such poorly made products.

Wish I’d got the guys name (till user 34 11:06am) but in any case. Popped in to find a pair of hiking boots . No pressure sales. Asked if I needed help and was very helpful and knowledgeable when I was ready. A thorough measuring and checking all was ok and I now own a new decent pair of boots. I know this is how retail experiences should always be but they aren’t. So a big thumbs up for just making this experience a good one.

Pal was very helpful helping me choose a pair of hiking boots. They went above and beyond to show me different models, let me try several pairs on and even use their foot sizing machine to check my arches. Very helpful and would recommend!!
