BLOWN AWAY! One happy Mother .. I placed an order on line & then called from Australia to talk with the guy about the order. I explained that I had sent flowers for Mother’s Day with another florist & they never arrived. I asked could he deliver this to my mums work in AM. The flowers were amazing! My mum was blown away! I purchased flowers for two addresses on Saturday (yesterday) before Mothering Sunday. I arranged for one delivery to be achieved via collection and taken to the first address by minicab as the florest said they could not deliver to the post code. The next address was local in N12 - of which the florist agreed to deliver my flowers purchased and charged me at least £7 extra for doing so. The flowers arrived around 18:00 on Mothering Sunday after the staff told me they close at 17:00? I would never have agreed to the delivery by the florist had I be made aware the florist were intent on delivering my purchase last well into the evening. The lady who I called from the Florist on Mothers Day at around 13:00 said the driver is busy and latterly I spoke to the Florist and same lady at around 17:00 or so and she casually stated she will try and speak to the driver and thereafter told me it was all down to traffic issues. In summary - the products are wonderful and I never had any problems before close to how this all came about - but it was disgustingly mismanaged and I wonder if anybody else can reasonable expect to have flowers for Mothers Day be delivered to N12 - a few miles away into the evening - after zero text messages or phone calls or emails or any notice of courtesy to keep the customer informed. I could have requested the same mini cab driver to deliver both flowers but the florist refused to reveal they intended to deliver my purchase on Mothers Day evening. When I asked the staff over the phone why I had received zero notification of any description as to my delivery - she casually reiterated the driver is busy and basically fobbed me off with inconsistent excuses and I think when you spend time - money and effort arranging a Mothers Day delivery service - you should be given a customer service experience that is reflective of the wonderful flowers they flog - that did not occur and it was entirely avoidable. Shame on the casual staff who failed to fulfill their obligation to keep customers informed and out of courtesy notify of their delivery - and they charge premium money to deliver flowers on Mothers Day evening?
