I recently stayed for 2 nights at the woodland campsite and loved it here. It's a very peaceful location and wonderful to camp in the woods and spend the evening beside an open fire with seasoned wood provided. Plenty of birdsong and a few owls hooting when the stars came out as night fell. Everyone was very friendly there - highly recommended!

A beautiful retreat back into nature. I felt immediately at home and comforted by the surrounding trees, the crackle of fire, and the chorus of owls at dusk. You can tell the place has been lovingly shaped by human hands, ones that work with nature rather than against it. A beautiful balance of honouring the forest and opening it enough to become a place of healing and recharging.

This is such a lovely place to camp. So quiet and peaceful. This gives a proper "wild camp" experience but the basic facilities are very well executed. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who enjoys getting back to basics and just enjoying being at one with the woods.

Went to Elfwoods, on a whim, spontaneous trip on some free days, looking in the area saw Elfwoods. Right away, the 'wild' camping experience caught my attention, as well as the intention overall. Camping there is ideal for cyclists or hikers passing through, or as a base to explore and hike the woodlands around the area for a few days. Wild camping plus wood for a firepit, sleeping out under the stars, was a great camp out on nice a heath. Also, with broad kinds of activities, children/family event or volunteer day, or archers, it was nice to be somewhere where you can say hi or chat but also had peaceful surroundings as well as a host who knows the battle of 'real' preservation or restoration of natural areas. Highly recommended !

Elf Woods is a magical back-to-basics campsite set within the forest. I loved sitting beside the fire pit to cook my dinner underneath a blanket of stars. The people running it are passionate about sustainable living and are incredibly friendly, hospitable and interesting to chat to about finding new ways of living in this world. Highly recommended!
