Too bad ☹️ (Original) Ich habe über EF einen dreiwöchigen Sprachaufenthalt mit Gastfamilie gebucht. Bei meiner Ankunft am Flughafen schon der erste Schock der gewünschte Transfer war nicht vor Ort. Man sagte mir er wurde nicht gebucht…. Obwohl mir mitgeteilt wurde, dass dieser gebucht wird…. und auch auf der Offerte aufgeführt war. Auf der Rechung habe ich mich zugegebener weise nicht geachtet, dass der Transfer nicht ergänzt wurde. Schaut daher immer ganz genau die Rechnung an! Mit Hilfe des Supports in London konnte dann doch noch kurzfristig am Flughafen ein Transfer gebucht werden, jedoch hat es viel Zeit und Nerven gekostet. Ich möchte mir nicht vorstellen wie es für jemanden sein muss, der sich nicht gut in englisch ausdrücken kann. Auch sonst lässt die Organisation zu wünschen übrig, als ich in London bei der Schule einen Transfer für den Rückweg buchen wollte hat man mir gesagt, dass es ausgeführt werde. Als ich nie eine Bestätigung bekam und wieder nachfragte waren sie schon genervt…. Schlussendlich habe ich mich dann bei meiner Ansprechsperson in meinem Land gemeldet aber auch hier habe ich erst nach dem 2. Mal fragen eine Antwort erhalten und da hat man mir voll und ganz bestätigt, dass alles klappt. Und jetzt kommt der Supergau… Als ich am Tag der Abreise langsam unruigh wurde, da ich nichts gehört habe, habe ich mich wie bei der Hinreise beim Support in London gemeldet und war schockiert als ich hören musste, dass kein Transfer gebucht ist, da öfters irgendwelche Programmfehler beständen😡 Dann wäre es aber gut, wenn man diese auch beheben würde. Ich fühlte mich verarscht. Einmal ein Fehler okkey aber gleich zweimal das geht GARNICHT!! Zum Glück konnt mir auch hier der Support wieder kurzfristig einen Transfer buchen. Wenn die Organisation von einem Transfer so schwierig ist, dann bitte einfach garnicht anbieten. Der Support von EF hat die Arbeit organisationstechnisch im Griff👍🏻 Die Schule und der Unterricht an sich war gut auch die Lehrpersonen sind kompetent und freundlich, was ich aber nicht nachvollziehen kann ist, dass für ein Schulbuch bezahlt werden muss, welches nicht einmal im Unterricht behandelt wird. Zur Gastfamilie kann ich NICHTS negatives sagen. Das Essen war gut und die Gastmutter stets freundlich. Leider hatte ich jeweils einen Schulweg von fast einer Stunde aber darauf wird hingewiesen. Mit der letzten Aktion bezüglich Heimreise hat es bei mir leider abgelöschen. Schade ☹️

Let's get to the accommodation. This was much worse. With the app you get towels available. I was only given a large towel and one for the floor in the bathroom. However, I imagine this differently. As a woman, I also need a cloth for my hair as well as a towel. If it had been the case that I only had one towel available, I would have taken one or two more from home. Upon arrival the wardrobe was full of hair and dust. Just like the floor was full of dust. If someone has an allergy to dust, this accommodation (Ability Tower) is not recommended. I didn't know that we would get a toilet roll for a week. When I arrived there wasn't even a toilet roll. I had to go buy another pack late in the evening. A lot of information was missing. A lot of things were broken. My bed squeaked with every little movement. Even when I put my bag on top. One leg off my bed was crooked (was afraid my bed would collapse). Ich habe mich bei der EF Notfalnummer gemeldet und da wurde mir erklärt ich muss dies Online bei der Polizei melden. Habe ich dann auch gemacht. Am nächsten Tag bei der Schule konnte mir nicht viel geholfen werden. Es gab nur eine im Staff die mir sehr geholfen hat. Jedoch wurde mich nicht gefragt, wie ich es ohne Handy dort in London vorankommen kann. Ich hatte Glück, denn meine Eltern haben mir ein neues Handy zugesendet. Jedoch frage ich mich, was wenn jemand nicht so viel Glück hat, falls jemand die finanzielle Lage nicht hat. Ich wünschte es würde von der Schule EF London mehr kommen. Nicht jeder kann sich einfach so ein Handy kaufen. Ich war drei Tage ohne Handy und dass war der grösster Horror. Ohne Handy in einem fremden Land auszukommen ist sehr schwer. Kommen wir zur Unterkunft. Dies war viel schlimmer. Bei der App steht man bekommt Handtücher zur Verfügung. Ich bekam nur ein grosses Handtuch und im Bad einen für den Boden. Da stelle ich mir dies jedoch anders vor. Ich als Frau brauche auch einen Tuch für die Haare genauso einen Handtuch. Wäre es der Fall gewesen, dass ich nur einen Tuch zur Verfügung habe hätte ich von zuhause noch ein bis zwei mitgenommen. Bei der Ankunft war der Kleiderschrank voller Haare und Staub. Genauso wie der Boden war voller Staub. Falls jemand eine Allergie gegen Staub hat, ist diese Unterkunft (Ability Tower) nicht weiter zu empfehlen. Dazu wusste ich nicht dass wir für eine Woche eine Toilettenrolle zur Verfügung bekommen. Bei meiner Ankunft war nicht mal eine Toilettenrolle da. Ich musste spät am Abend noch eine Packung kaufen gehen. Viele Infos haben gefehlt. Dazu war vieles kaputt. Mein Bett hat bei jeder kleinen Bewegung gequietscht. Sogar wenn ich meine Tasche hinaufgelegt habe. Ein Bein von meinem Bett war schräg (hatte Angst, dass mein Bett zusammenbricht). Die Heizung innen war voll mit Staub. Dies wurde bestimmt noch nie geputzt. Ich erwarte keine tägliche Putzung, jedoch erwarte ich etwas Sauberkeit, damit ich mich wohl fühle. Hätte das Unternehmen mir einen Staubsauger zur Verfügung gestellt, hätte ich von selbst sogar geputzt. Dazu hatte die Unterkunft keine Waage. Sowas muss es haben. Ich brauch die Waage um meinen Koffer zu wiegen. Ohne Plan wie schwer mein Koffer war bin ich zum Flughafen. Bei der Küche waren die Tücher bestimmt seit Monaten nicht gewaschen wurden. Fleckig... Das Sofa hat komisch gestunken und hatte Flecken. Einige Sachen muss man einfach nach einigen Jahren ersetzen. Es braucht keine Beschwerde bis man etwas ersetzt, sowas muss klar sein. Ich habe mir alles etwas wärmer vorgestellt, schlussendlich sollte man sich wie zuhause fühlen. Zum Glück war ich nur für 2 Wochen da... Die Unterkunft keine weiter Empfehlung. Habe mir alles anders vorgestellt.
