  The creative genious that is Ed Solly We stumbled across Ed by chance on our search for a wedding photographer who was familiar with our wedding venue Lympne Castle. Now I can say with absolute certainty that us meeting Ed wasn't chance but destiny. From the beginning I liked Ed's style of photography; down to earth, in the moment, authentic and lively; simply showing the joy and happiness present on a wedding day. Looking through his portfolio of previous weddings I instantly felt like I had been there myself and I loved how genuine the emotions in the pictures were. We reached out to Ed for an initial chat and within the first 5 minutes of the call both me and my husband felt like we were talking to an old friend and had an instant connection with Ed. Needless to say that we got an absolute killer bargain with Ed from a budget perspective. Ed was super chilled and professional at the same time. For our engagement shoot I wanted a castle-esque background so Ed took us to the middle of nowhere with some ruins - this was best photo session I had in my life! I can only stress how every interaction with Ed - and this engagement shoot included - just feels like we were hanging out with one of our best friends. He put us completely at ease during the shoot and we learned his cues which meant that our pictures during the wedding were effortless. In the months and weeks leading up to the wedding Ed was my sounding board and didn't mind the 40 inspiraitonal pictures I sent him of poses or shots that I wanted us to do during our day. A few weeks before the wedding we had another meeting to talk through the details of our day (including non-english speaking guests, various different entertainment items on the agenda that all needed to be photographed and paid attention to. Ed was instrumental in keeping the entire wedding day running in accordance with my crazy and to the minute-precisely-planned schedule so that all I had to do was to enjoy my day. Which I did. Ed had my complete trust and I was not disappointed. He naturally managed to round up my guests and other vendors on the day to where they needed to go all that while smiling and cracking jokes. Our wedding day was everything we wanted and had meticulously planned for over the last 1 1/2 years and Ed's charm, funny comments and creativity made it magical beyond my wildest dreams. It seemed like Ed was everywhere at once and all of my guests were completely taken by him and more than once was he asked if he would consider coming to Germany for future family events. We got our photos very promptly after our wedding and they are simply amazing. I have never felt more beautiful in my life and Ed captured that perfectly. I can not just highly recommend Ed as a photographer but sincerely think that anyone who doesn't hire him to take their pictures is loosing out. I would hire Ed 100 times over again. ~ Ed, thank you so much for your hard work and for adding your magic to our day. I was not lying when I said that you feel like a friend to myself and Julian and we had the best of times with you on our wedding day. I wish we could do it all over again.

  We had a team event and Ed was our photographer. The photos are perfect for us as Ed really captured the energy in the room, showing what we are all about.   Ed was one of the photographers for my friends wedding. He was fantastic at getting everyone up and smiling and making people laugh. Super helpful towards the men getting ready in the morning and throughout the day with everyone. Going above and beyond what a photographer would normally do (standing in the pouring/ torrential rain waiting for good photographs!) Huge thanks and couldn’t recommended enough- bring on the photos!

  I recently got married, and made the decision to hire Ed to do the photography. Apart from actually deciding to marry my fiancé, hiring Ed was absolutely the best wedding decision I had made! Ed was incredibly professional; he was on time, friendly and courteous, and clearly had a great eye for a photo. More that that however, he was great fun, very funny and extremely helpful. On more than one occasion, he went the extra mile(s), helping to alleviate the stress of the day by doing such things as helping to find people (when my ushers weren't around), entertaining my Godchildren so that they didn't interrupt me during photos, and on several occasions he even supplied drinks to my wife and I! Honestly it was like having an extremely caring and attentive friend on the day, who could disappear and reappear on demand, and I just want to say thank you, Ed. You were absolutely brilliant! Honestly, hire this man for your wedding! You won't regret it.

  Ed went above and beyond on my wedding day. I wanted to capture every moment of my day including those special moments with my Father who passed away 4 months later. Ed approached my Dad when he arrived and made sure that he was comfortable and could do everything he could to make the day as easy for my Dad as possible. The photos that Ed took of my wedding day will be etched into my heart forever, the snapshot of those moments are now like gold dust in my heart. Ed stayed later than arranged to make sure he caught every possible moment of my day and those little moments with my Father that means everything to me now. If I could give more than 5 stars for Ed's service then I would 100% would as his service was exceptional and I know have memories that will last a lifetime of my perfect day! Thank you again Ed, I am so so so thankful for every single photo.

  We used Ed for our wedding in March 2022 and he was just absolutely fantastic. Responsive and clear communication at all times. Himself and James were just a joy to have around on our day. They made everything very easy, they didnt feel intrusive on the day and where very funny to be around. Many of our guests commented on how wonderful they were. The quality of the pictures we got were just perfect. They captured so many special moments perfectly. Both candid and posed shots. Really couldnt of asked for anything more. Would highly recommend to anyone who'll listen.

  Ed and James just provide the best photography package you could want. We recently hired Ed for our wedding, being the Bride Ed was with me in the morning making myself and all the bridesmaids feel really at ease, Ed knows weddings so well so there isnt anything he cant help you with! Ed and James look after you throughout the whole day, they help organise you throughout the day making sure you have enough time for every photo you want but also making time to relax and enjoy the party. These guys know what they are doing and they make everyone feel relaxed whilst they do it. Couldnt thank them enough for their service, i would recommend Ed to anyone- thank you so much!!!
