Edmonds Accountancy did not provide us with the level of services we were looking for. Although the staff were polite and happy to help, they were extremely difficult to get a hold of. It was typically a couple of weeks for a reply, and it was not uncommon to take even longer, or for our enquiry to remain ignored. Furthermore we reduced the level of services with them gradually, but were never decreased in billing total. This included decreasing the level of bookkeeping to none, and dropping the entire payroll service; so that all that remained was our Year End Accounts. When raising this concern we were ignored initially and then provided with a blanket response that did not really answer the questions we raised. We decided to move to a new accounting service provider and in the end it was taking so long to resolve our enquiries that it was easier to pay the totals rather than chase them; which felt a little deliberate. We are only a small company so maybe Edmonds were more focused on large ones, but if this was the case we would have rather been told to find an accounting service that typically takes on firms of our size. A real shame as we worked so well with some of the staff when they did respond. For a small business we would not recommend Edmonds, but we cannot speak to the level of service for a larger business.

Didn’t do anything with the P45 I gave, ignored me when I said I was being taxed wrong, gave me an incorrect P60 at the end of the year and ended up with a tax bill due to their error. No apology at all, only being told I know nothing and that everything was correct (which it wasn’t). Update for 2020 - Still absolutely useless. After having to sort my tax code out myself and try and unmess what they messed up. HMRC changed my tax code for this new tax year. YET AGAIN Edmonds have messed up and sent me a payslip with the wrong tax code! Clearly they haven’t learnt anything from two years ago!

I run an estate agency and Edmonds have been with us since we opened in 2014. They were with us at inception when they helped us with our company structure and setting up our company accounts. They have done our payroll from day one when we had just 1 employee to now with 12 employees and will be with us as we continue to grow.
