Great place to train, the coach is very approachable, knowledgeable and professional. Offers a variety of classes at affordable prices and is accessible for people of all ability levels.If group training isnt something your interested in private coaching is also available. There is a very friendly atmosphere at DNA and training there is one of the highlights of my week. Cannot recommend enough, worth a try even if you have never trained a martial art before, perfect place to start.

DNA MMA is a great place to learn MMA, Muay Thai and BJJ. Coach Dustin has a real knack for teaching and is able to bring out the best in everyone no matter their skill level. The club has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere making each class a joy to take part in. I recommend the club wholeheartedly to get started/continue to learn martial arts.

Head coach Dustin is the best thing to happen to York. Delivers excellent classes at good pace for a good price while making the most of the relatively limited space for a martial arts club - actively training 12 people per session is a task that is managed exceptionally, given the varying levels of experience. The community in this place will likely be the best you will ever come across in a martial arts club. Muay thai, bjj, boxing, wrestling, and full MMA classes are frequent throughout the week at a range of times so there's always something you can get to. 5/5.

I can't really overstate the positive impact that wrestling and DNA have had on my life! Sessions are reasonably priced and are easy to book into, and each session teaches genuinely useful, pragmatic techniques from each of the numerous disciplines taught here. I feel the need to commend Dustin and everyone else at DNA for creating such a welcoming environment without any compromises. The classes taught (from what I've seen), are suitable for both beginners and advanced martial artists with accommodations being made for all skill levels. I also want to highlight the massive range of people who attend classes, it's incredibly inclusive and all kinds of people with different body types and backgrounds train here. If you're looking for somewhere to train freestyle wrestling, DNA is the best place in York. If you're looking for a place to train BJJ, Muay Thai, MMA, or boxing, I'd also strongly recommend you try DNA before looking anywhere else!

DNA MMA is an excellent martial arts school for people of any skill level. The coach is exceptionally knowledgeable and the students are welcoming and helpful. Lessons usually start with drilling useful manoeuvres, then move on to showcasing and then practising techniques. Experienced practitioners find it very useful to improve on what they already know, as well as adding more advanced skills to their repertoire, while anyone new is able to learn things from scratch. The structure of classes, as well as the attitude of members makes this school ideal for those who are considering beginning a martial art, but are worried about their lack of knowledge. Depending on the level of participants, classes most often end in activities that put what has been taught to the test or -for those slightly more experienced- friendly sparring. The school is accessible and conveniently placed, as well as being clean and offering relevant equipment. DNA MMA also utilises a booking system which ensures that classes are not overcrowded, which is a real possibility due to the popularity of the lessons taught. Crucially, there are classes everyday at different times such as morning, afternoon, and evening which makes it suitable for anyone with an irregular work or study schedule. Cannot recommend more highly.
