Incredible value for money!!! We got a 48 hour pass that cost under £15 each. We then kind of used the bus as a free taxi service to get around the city when we didn't want to walk. The driver was polite, the bus was clean. We were given free headphones. We plugged them in and then select from about a dozen languages. Then an automated audio tour explains the details and history of many of the buildings, statues, natural features that we passed including where some famous Scots were born or worked. I loved it as both a cheap mode of transportation and as a learning experience. This would be a great way to start your visit to Edinburgh and to get an idea of the attractions you may want to spend time on during your visit. The whole loop probably takes about 90 minutes.

We grabbed the green (Edinburgh City) and blue (Majestic) buses while we were in Edinburgh. Take the tour guides with a grain of salt (the story of Georgy Porgy changes a bit with each guide), but they were entertaining and so helpful. We had Johnny and Luis last and Blair earlier in the day. They were all incredible!

Really wanted to do the 3 bridges tour on the Forth so took this tour as it seemed the most informed and easy to use..You could with a bit of effort do it yourself but absolutely with time restraints this is the easiest quickest way to do this tour..( Edinburgh roads are abysmal and in a sorry state of repair)
