Very disappointed. Normally fly from Glasgow and Edinburgh is not in the same league. Arrived at Edinburgh at 2.30am and Starbucks not open but littered with lots of empty cups. Went to Jet 2 check in but had to wait. There was no one at baggage handling. After the 20 min delay we were then checked in. Our luggage was weighed and then we had to take our luggage to the conveyor belt. We had to wait again in another queue. This was reminiscent of visiting the Greek Islands 19 years ago. Not good for Scotlands capital city. We pride ourselves on efficiency. This is totally misplaced. We can learn a lot from our European neighbours. Poor show Edinburgh need to learn or be left behind.

The airport considers itself to be family friendly, but the so-called "playing area" was very dirty and the family bathroom was opened for men, because the other toilet at the gate wasn't functioning. This meant that when changing/nursing the baby, there were constantly people coming in for a pee... This is really not okay and should be addressed immediately. Disappointing experience.

Worst airport in Scotland? Definitely. The UK? It's possible. Security is a joke and a total rat race. If you want that anxious feeling you may miss your flight despite having left an hour and a half to get through security this is the place for you. You'll be praying your bag doesn't get flagged for a search. Take notes from Glasgow on how to run queues

Ridiculously understaffed both for departure and arrival. Waited hours for our luggage and almost missed our plane if we hadn't purchased fast lane passes for security.
