Having been recommended these guys by my neighbours and them initially staying longer and doing more work to try and resolve my heating issue, I was then left feeling very disappointed and angry at what followed. When it became clear I needed a new boiler (I opted for a combi boiler rather than an open system) the service on the day left a lot to be desired. Three guys turned up and the job took all day. At the end of it there was a sodden patch of kitchen carpet where water had been allowed to go, splash marks down my walls where the tanks had been removed from the loft, a filthy bath which was attempted to be cleaned and damage to some kitchen fascias - I was not best pleased. I then went on to experience other issues with the new boiler. The pipework is far noisier than before due to the differing pipe sizes (something I wasn't warned about) & a boiler that would work when there was no call on the system. I was told that my perception of how this system worked needed to change as it was a new system that I wasn't used to and a lot of their customers experience this for 3-4 weeks. Eventually they very begrudgingly came out and changed the new thermostat in case this was the problem. When the issue remained I called Ideal who arranged for an engineer to come out. He stated that whilst not incorrect, the wiring had been done in such a way that the main electrical feed went into the thermostat before the boiler and it should really be the other way round, this in turn was causing aslight backflow of electricity into the boiler making it fire up unnecessarily. I brought in another heating company who fixed the issue in under 20 minutes. So unfortunately I wouldn't now recommend this company. I was made to feel stupid and that my way of thinking needed to change when it didn't, there was a genuine issue. Shame, as after their initial visit I was very pleased with them, but not now

Simply fantastic from start to finish. We live further out than Eco-Flame normally cover but Dan still came over to assess the work and quote. The quote was very reasonable for the work that needed doing. We had 2 old combi's ripped out, new system boiler and tank fitted along with 8 new radiators plus tying in existing rads. The complete heating system needed pretty much replacing including hot water runs etc, a big job that involved Shawn under the floorboards routing pipework but this didn't damper his spirits. Phil, Dan, Shaun and Eammon carried it out with utmost professionalism, even after Phil had a brown pants moment with some electrical cables that we thought we had powered off. They were onetime every day and got cracking immediately. The job involved making a decent amount of mess with boards up etc but they tidied it all up and left the house exactly as it was and how i wanted it. I cant recommend them enough and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
