Up until this experience I have had very good dealings with this company. Anyway, around 3 weeks ago (April, 2023) I received a call from a woman who told me that soon I would be receiving some vouchers in the post, and that if I wished I could join Perx Magazine and My Top Rewards to receive great benefits. I wish to make it very clear that she stated "if I chose to join" and that in no way did I agree to join any such a club. And anyway I am not interested in such things. I did receive a small Easy Life catalogue in the post about a week later. I looked through it and then binned it. I had purchased two items from this company in December of 2022 and that's it. Obviously that is how this lady got hold of my telephone number. On the 13th of May I happened to check my bank account and noticed (to my surprise) two debits, one for £19.99 and the other for £69.50! The debits were in favour of Easy Life. I asked my wife if she had purchased anything for those amounts and she answered "most definitely not". I then called my bank and told them that I suspected fraud, they then advised me to contact Easy Life because the debits were marked down as subscription payments. I called Easy Life and explained this to a nice chap in the Rewards dept. He very quickly cancelled my subscription (which I never agreed to in the first place) and refunded me on both accounts. He never argued with me which to me implied that I wasn't the first person to call in. Also, I never gave permission for my card details to be stored on their server. Anyway, the woman who initially called me was South African (I've lived there so I'm very familiar with the accent). I have written this review to warn others about this scam. This is the second time that I've been subscribed to something without my permission.

Scammers!!! Avoid at all costs. Prey on the elderly and vulnerable. £400+ taken from my elderly mother's account without her knowledge. Only discovered when a box of books turned up that she didn't order! Have promised refunds but still waiting weeks later. Despicable. How are they allowed to trade??

This company has fleeced my 97 year old mother of hundreds of pounds. My mother has dementia and doesn't have the capacity to agree to anything and yet they signed her up to a subscription and then began helping themselves to her money. I note from other reviews that this isn't an isolated incident and I also note that Easylife haven't responded to any of the shamefull reports highlighted in the reviews. I truly hope this honest review saves somebody else from dealing with this despicable company.

They don't deserve 1☆ but unfortunately I'm not able to give less. Last May, my then 93yrs old partially deaf dad phoned this company to place an order. At the point of sale they asked him if he would like their catalogue, he agreed. Forward 10 months, dad noticed on his bank statement 7x£18.50, plus 1x£69.90 taken from his account and asked if we could find out why. A lady with an extremely strong accent said dad had been told if he didn't cancel within a time frame he would be charge the yearly subscription.....£69.90 plus a quarterly £18.50, which doesn't add up as they took 7 payments in 10 months. Fortunately we were able to get dad refunded but it has been stressful for him. So, please be aware if you buy anything from Easylife and they offer you a catalogue.
