I have only good things to say about the pediatric department particularly Professor P. Ashley. My 8 years old son had a trauma to his front tooth and Prof Ashley has been absolutely amazing! My son had an accident at school a day after a root canal treatment and his tooth broke so I called them and they saw us the next day, fixed my son tooth and been ever so good. Every one I spoke to in the hospital was great, from answering the phone, responding to emails and face to face greeting. I am ever so impressed and a big thank you to Proff Paul Ashley who made the all experience so easy for my very anxious son and turn it into a positive and comfortable experience. What a lovely person and a great dentist. My son was so worried before the root canal treatment but came out happy and positive, he said that his doctor was the best. This is a big thing for a little boy, to feel safe in his hands and knowing he will be just fine so when we returned 2 days later with a broken tooth he felt less anxious, when he saw Dr Ashley he immediately felt so much better. Proff Ashley truly care and this what makes all the difference. And before you ask, this is through the NHS and not private.we were ever so lucky to be send to this wonderful place as I was so worried for my son. I also want to mention that they are so busy and we can at times forget to remember or to appreciate that they are doing their best under alot of pressure. I’ve been having treatment now for almost 2 years here and I cannot recommend it enough! The quality of the service, the friendliness of the team, and the professionalism and attention to detail has been fantastic. As someone who gets anxious at the thought of having any dental work done, Sachet (the consultant I’ve been lucky enough to be assigned to), has been incredible. I actually look forward to the sessions I have with him as his friendly demeanour and skills at reconstructive gum surgery have been outstanding. Would highly recommend.

Dental staff are excellent, however the receptionist upstairs on the third floor are so grumpy and rude, there is one in particular who sits with a mask on rolling her eyes up and down and glares at you which is not friendly at all. Otherwise the nurses and others are all good.

Absolutely terrible service. Going round and round in circles on the phone. On hold for over an hour. Then put through to answer phones which don't work. Operator does not help put me through. Very annoyed. Also been waiting for surgery now for 5 months and have not even had a letter or heard from them.

Please be aware if you complain about the unprofessional attitude of a postgraduate trainee dentist the consultant will compromise your treatment and will sign you off ASAP. There is no privacy the whole Dept will know about your written complain they will see you with an unfavorable eye. After 30 long appointments, nevertheless, I can still say it is the best dental hospital with many great people. Hope you will get the best treatment!
