Our latin Paleography Group met there for over 20 when the building, owned by the Suffolk Record Office, was shared with Eastern Angeles until the SRO moved to new premises called the Hold. Due to a very steep rental hike, we had to search elsewhere. We searched for almost a year in vain for alternative premises, until someone suggested, "why not try Eastern Angeles, they might have a spare room to rent". They have proved most helpful. Not only have we negotiated a very fair rent with them, they have gone out of their way to make sure we have settled in nicely. They have provided excellent support. What a contrast with the Hold, an organisation steeped in the History, mores, etc., of Suffolk, who did not appear to have any interest in our group at all. This being despite the long association we had with the SRO. It is just a joy to be back in the old premises and looked after by people who care.
