I had a valid railcard and train tickets. I inquired as to my train to be told that one would be leaving in eight minutes but I was not allowed on as I was early by some twenty minutes. My overall journey time was 4 hours and 30 minutes, any time gained would have made for a better journey, but instead the train was allowed to leave almost empty. Amazing how one jobs worth can spoil your whole day. So sorry Eastbourne poor customer service and a poor attitude.
