  Overcharged me for the product despite emailing a quote before hand , have had to ring 8 times for a refund and still haven’t done so, customer service is very rude would not use again. !!!

  As a contractor I've used East Midlands Water to interpret water sample result and provide solutions. Today I called and asked to speak to technical to discuss a project . The lady who I spoke to told me I was unable to speak to technical as she had decided the only reason for my call was to get advise and probably buy kit elsewhere. Simply unbelievable !.

  DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered a water softener from them, as having a kitchen refurb, didn't take delivery of the goods as unit wasn't suitable for my water inlet, cancelled in line with their policy and 8 weeks later and many emails to this company still have not received a refund. Their accounts department conveniently don't take phone calls, I wonder why? And don't reply to emails. Bunch of crooks

  I have just installed an EMS-10 water softener, the installation went ok, the main problem being access to a drain, anyway that is solved now and the machine is in and running, so far the results are good with very soft water, we are looking forward to the long term results of not having scale on the taps and water stains on the shower screens !!! EMWC were very helpful with good advice and the purchase and delivery was very efficient, I would certainly recommend them if you are thinking of getting a water softener. Kim G.

  We bought the EMS 10 Eco Premier Water Softener on the Sunday and it was here by Wednesday! Praise should be noted for DPD who delivered it bang on the pre-notified time. This was a replacement for our old unit and so we had an idea of what they do and what we wanted. This one is more robust, slightly smaller (which makes it an even better fit in the kitchen sink cupboard) but also provides more capacity relative to the needs of our house. It came very well packaged, complete with fitting kit and instructions. As this was a replacement, the fitting kit was not needed but looking at what came it is very good quality and includes all that you would need. For us it was a simple but long overdue change. I found the instructions easy to follow, even those that did not apply as all the pipework could be reused, save for the overflow (one new hole through the wall sorted this). The unit itself is made from a more robust material than our old one and not being white is in our view another benefit. The set up with the clock was also very simple and the whole job took just over the hour to complete. Today all is happily running as it should. Obviously, it's too soon to shout its praises as far as the output is concerned but my experience with the vendor, the quality of the product and service I have had gives me the confidence to say that I would not only look to buy from them again should the need arise but also that I would recommend them to others. If there is one thing I would do to make it even better it would be to have a maximum salt line on the front/side of the unit. I made one so that I don't forget the advice in the instructions about fill height. Many thanks

  Just installed our new Water Softener system supplied by East Midlands Water. Made an immediate difference to our water and the hardness has now gone. Already we can see the signs of previous limescale being cleared. Well worth our investment & highly recommended.

  Customer service and product quality is not to standard and wouldn't recommend them. Only interested in selling. I bought a whole house water softener and filter which, according to our very experienced plumber, was overpriced. The filter's lid popped open as soon as it was installed, even though our water pressure was below the filter's pressure threshold. The plumber said he didn't trust the filter as it could cause water damage to our property and those below, and advised me to return it and ask for a refund. When I contacted EMW, sending them a detailed email and pictures of the filter, I didn't get any response until I called their customer service. EMW said they would first need to collect and assess the filter, so they did that weeks after I had first emailed them about it. After a few weeks, they sent back the filter saying it had been repaired. A few months later, the filter started leaking again and some of the internal contents were spewing out. This time, I refused a repair and just wanted the refund. Again, the communication took forever and they only agreed to refund part of the carbon filter that hadn't been used. They also said I needed to pay for the pick up and delivery, which was ridiculous given the trouble it caused for me and the plumber fees I had to pay. It has been 3 weeks since the filter had been picked up and I haven't heard anything back re. the assessment or refund.

  Sneaky sales tactic. The Counter Top RO Unit 80GPD (ABCT) is severely overpriced by almost £100 and was sold under the impression the reverse osmosis filter can be hidden under the sink but it has to be on the countertop, I also wasn’t informed of the eyesore of ORANGE and white tubing cables that HAVE to be fitted on the tip of the tap all the way to the filter itself, I looked online to see the photos on the website and there are no photos of this, I wasn't informed of these tubes either, they ruin the whole look of my kitchen. I was told it was the only suitable filter for rented properties but upon reviewing the instructions a hole is needed in the worktop/sink basin to fit the water (in) tube otherwise the tubes just sit in the sink. I was also overcharged by £10 for “delivery” although after checking online, delivery is FREE if you spend over £100, and I spent £339.96. I called the helpline and the man on the other end told me there is nothing that can be done. I have since found cheaper versions online since ordering too. Please do your research before buying a filter from here and don’t buy over the phone or you will get scammed for a delivery charge, you can find cheaper ones elsewhere and if its a countertop one you are looking for, many other sites sell much nicer ones that aren’t an eyesore.

  My purchase was an incidental 'buy' at the Ideal Home Exhibition! I hadn't planned to spend on such a device but our friends who were with us, swore by their EMWC softener, saying that if they had to chose between a dishwasher and a softener they'd choose the softener! Praise indeed! It took me a while to fit it due to having to modify my under sink space, as well as my plumbing but I eventually fixed it. The water is lovely and soft, our hair and skin feels softer after a shower, and the kettle, shower and taps all look great now. I've even fitted a 'soft tap feed' to the front of the house to wash the cars - it's fab! A bit of a journey to get here but I'm glad I did.

  Having spoken with Ian from EMS I placed an order for a EMS10 softener. It arrived quickly and was easy to install. Living in a particularly hard water area, since fitting my water is everything Ian said, the kettle no longer furs up, the washing machine is so much more efficient and uses less detergent and the shower screen just wipes clean! I wish I had installed it years ago!!!!
