My wife and I have now completed 8 classes with the East London Wine School and will continue to return. We have tried many different wine classes/tastings from other organisations and these are the best. The instructor, Sam, is bubbly and down to earth whilst also being knowledgable and infectiously enthusiastic about wine. The classes are very relaxed and accessible to people of all experience levels, and the wine samples are very generous. Sam also always has great recommendations for places to buy wine and has introduced us to many grapes/styles of wine that we had never heard of (and are delicious!). Thank you, Sam, for genuinely igniting a passion for learning about wine!

I did a 4 weeks Italian wine tasting course with Sam and had the best time. She was fun, engaging, attentive. She patiently answered all our questions, even doing some research afterwards when we mentioned a specific wine we were struggling to find. The wine we tasted were delicious (bare with me, Im a beginner), yet affordable. I leant loads and highly recommend

This is a great place to come and further your wine education. I completed Level 2 in October. Tim is great teacher. Very knowledgeable and engaging. Sam is very helpful and quick to get out the practice exam questions each week (which is very helpful)

We did the 8 week world course and it was a truly amazing experience! Sam is so nice and was always available to answer all of our questions. We discovered some real gems from all over the world and learnt to appreciate new types of wine. Super recommended if you want to learn about wine in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Such a fantastic course - I did the 4 week introduction to wine tasting. Sam is a great teacher and makes the sessions really fun. I learned so much about the different regions, grapes, process of making wine and how all of this impacts on the taste. It's given me a lot more confidence in choosing wines when I go out to restaurants/bars. Will definitely be coming back for more events/courses with the E London Wine School!

Just got the news that I passed the WSET Level 2 today! What a memorable experience at East London Wine School - though it could be stressful at some point through the course with great content and wine tasting in three full days. I must say I enjoyed every moment of the course. I wish to especially thank Terry - he was an amazing instructor, patient, knowledgeable, friendly. Before my exam I was so nervous but Terry assured me that I could pass - I did it and all applause to Terry.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time studying for the WSET 2 at the East London Wine School. There were so many wine courses/school to choose from but I ultimately settled for East London Wine School thanks to the reviews and also the scheduling of their classes. Glad I made this decision. The class was small (less than 10 people) so it felt very inclusive, questions could be asked whenever and about whatever. Terry, our lecturer, was a true and kind gentleman. His passion and interest in wine is detectable from the first few minutes of his teaching. He is willing to slow himself down for our understanding but also is not afraid to speed things up to end earlier so that we can all get on with our Saturdays. I must say that I largely attribute my absolutely positive experience to him because he made our lessons chill, relaxing and purposeful. Like I said, a very kind man. You can tell he enjoys sharing about wine because it is a hobby that he truly enjoys. I could rest assured from the first class alone that I was placed under the supervision of a qualified teacher. For those who are worried, I jumped straight into WSET2 despite having zero knowledge on wine (I didn't even know the names of common wine grapes!) and found it fine. You need to put in the hours to study, just like a any other University module but it is definitely easier. I was able to do the bulk of my studying in the last 2 days right before the exam and scored well above the passing mark. I would recommend studying and reading before the classes, my mistake was thinking that I should learn things for the first time with Terry - but these classes will serve more value to you if you already have questions beforehand. It's fine if you're busy with your weekday job/school, you can and will get by studying along the classes. I can thoroughly recommend East London Wine School. If you have not done your research, this is definitely a good blind buy because you will learn and gain value from it for sure. If you have done your research, I can vouch for Terry and the other lecturers because they care for their students and I doubt it can get that much better than this that you need to scour the ends of the internet or stress for another wine school.
