We have highly qualified instructors who are certified by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). They have many years of experience in teaching boating and windsurfing to people of all ages and abilities. Our instructors are passionate about the sport and are dedicated to making sure that our customers have a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.What is the cost of your instruction and what is included in that cost?
Our rates for instruction vary depending on the type of lesson and the duration. We offer private one-on-one lessons as well as group lessons. The cost includes all necessary equipment such as boards, sails, wetsuits, and life jackets. We also provide insurance and safety instructions for all our customers.What are your rates and packages?
We offer a range of rates and packages to suit every budget and level of experience. Our rates for private lessons start from £45 per hour and group lessons start from £35 per hour. We also offer packages for multiple lessons which offer discounts for our customers.What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that sometimes things come up and you may need to cancel your lesson. We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you cancel within 24 hours of your lesson, you will be charged a cancellation fee of £25. In the event that we need to cancel your lesson due to weather conditions or other factors, we will reschedule your lesson for a future date.Are there any recommended locations for windsurfing in the area?
Yes, there are several great locations for windsurfing in the area. We recommend the Broxbourne Sailing Club, which is where our school is located. It offers a safe and sheltered environment for beginners to learn in. Perfect place to learn windsurfing with excellent attentive tuition available. Great kit, well appointed clubhouse and facilities. The lake is a good size and is beautiful to sail. Car parking is very close but the service road is very bumpy.

Truly had an excellent weekend. Martin is the perfect character type to teach anyone from complete beginners to people with more experience. We did the 2 day course and he teaches you the full works, including technique, safety and equipment. You get four long sessions out in the water and he’s out there with you guiding you along the way. The whole thing is great value. Looking for to next season and getting back out on the lake.

This is a fantastic place to learn windsurfing! The 2 day course programme sounds ambitious but Martin is incredible knowledgeable and you pick it up so quickly! After completing the course you can rent gear at very competitive prices to practice on your own. I'd definitely recommend the 2 day course if you have the time. You still learn a lot in one day but day 2 was a real breakthrough!
