Possibly one of the worse GPs I have ever experienced. Getting access to appointments is difficult and the reception staff are very unhelpful.

The queue to talk to a receptionist is long and frustrating BUT once you speak to someone, all the receptionists are lovely, clear, helpful and calm.

Dr Lawrence and Dr Sen have been most supportive and engaged with my medical concerns . I am fully aware that their work could not be accomplished without the support of their team, and i have received informative and quick response from all the ladies in reception, both by e mail and phone . Thank you all for kindness and professionalism .

Update: The rest of my family also went to EF Medical Practice and thoroughly hated the experience. It culminated at the receptionist shouting at our son for daring to pop in to pick up a sample jar when he was asked to. Apparently he should have stood in the street, in the rain and shouted through an open side window. It really it that cranky at this doctors. My wife has never had a pleasant experience there. I think I was just lucky. Something had to give. We’ve since moved doctors and the new surgery is much, much better. To be fair, I think we’d forgotten what a normal doctor-patient experience should be like. I’ve left the original review in case EF Medical Practice is your only option and you need a relatively solid review. Having read the reviews, I kinda get it, but that's not really my experience. I've never had "The Irish Receptionist™", nor, frankly, have I had to go there for any actual appointments. The only time I did, they sent me to another GP a few mile away, which was ok. I'm one of those light touch folks who either need a phone conversation or A&E (not much between) and they have been polite and relatively efficient. The lack of a few stars is because of their slow / random attention to emails and/or repeat prescriptions. Sometimes it can take a week for them to forward it on to the chemist etc. But I've adapted and just submit it a week early now. I'm fairly sure I'll go down a star or two if I actually need regular physical interaction with them, but if you just need the odd referral, they seem just about tolerable.
